Prologue: Two Betrayals The scientist had just completed the enhancements needed to win against the Covenant forces once and for all. Instead of informing his superiors he walked over to a door guickly but silently with the enhancements. A small hidden camera emerged from the wall and made a retina scan. The camera beeped and became a part of the wall once again. A passageway emerged out of nowhere and the scientist walked down. He lit a halogen light and went inside a Longsword interceptor. Lights and buttons beeped and lit the inside. He started toward a what looked like a concrete wall. The wall flew open and closed behind the ship. He flew over cities and found a base that looked abandoned and rusted in the mountains. He landed the Longsword inside and got out. "A covenant base." he said to himself. His voice echoed along the walls. He went down the stair and walked down a hallway into another. The sound of foot steps bounced along the walls. He found a laboratory and stationed himself there. Chapter 1: The Meeting He then took off the bottom of the case and took out a small box and disk. The small box would be implanted into the brain and the disk with it. Small wires from the box would connect to nerves. The disk held information on every human stradegy. A special feature on the disk contained every covenant stradegy and battle tactic had also been placed from another disk taken out of a covenant ship. He knew this would make the equal for a Spartan. He kept on inside the case and found what he was looking for. The silver piece shimmered in the laboratory light. This piece would make pain unnoticable. He also took out about 200 steel platings. These would cover the bones and make them impossible to break. The senses would also be better. Smell, hearing, touch would be enhanced and sight would be enhanced with nightvision. He left them there and went to the mess hall. His clatter woke up the sleeping and unnoticed Elite. The Elite woke up and grunted. He listened. He found the sound of footsteps and slowly walked up the stairs and stood at the edge of the opening in the mess hall. He grabbed his PR from his side and jumped out pointing at the scientist. The scientist dropped his plate and held his hands up. "Ereh ouy era ywh?"barked the Elite "Excuse me?" answered the scientist. "Why are you here?" he said annoyed. "I was making enhancements for the 'humans' and I took them here in a ship of mine," he replied," I have them here and was planning to put them on me but it is impossible." "Of course you would be perfect and it make you way more powerful and smarter than a Spartan." he said trying to save himself. The Elite's eyes widened at the words "more powerful and smarter than a Spartan." Chuma walked slowly to the scientist. He grabbed him and told him that he will spare his life if he puts it on him. The scientist agreed and he took him towards the lab and told him about everything. He agreed once again and got on a table for operation. The tools were taken out and placed on the table with everything else. Anesthesia was placed on the floor. Chuma first asked what is your name and the scientist simply replied, Linux. He went to sleep after that. Chapter 2: Immortal Chuma awoke hours later sore all over but enpowered in a way. He jumped off the table and almost touched the roof that was 6 feet above his head. He looked over at Linux sleeping on the floor. Chuma grabbed his PR and pointed at the innocent scientist. His hand shook. He put his plasma rifle on his side again and kept to his word. He went outside. It was pitch black but he could see everything. He ran to the farthest tree. He made it to the mile away tree in six seconds flat. And he stopped right in front of it. He pointed his rifle at a tree and instead fired at all the trees simultaneously in one quick movement. He went back inside the base. he shook Linux and kept on saying,"you did it, you did it." Of course Linux woke up after having his head banged on the floor about ten times. "What? What's the matter?" he asked half-asleep. Chuma kept yelling,"It worked, it worked." "What worked?" Linux answered now awake. "The enhancements work, let me show you!" Chuma lifted his fist. Linux answered quickly rubbing the back of his head,"I already tried it out." They now talked and went to sleep in the same rooms without the fear of the other trying to kill him. A new friendship had risen in both of these living creatures and they would go out into war in due time. |
