"We never meant him to be like this. It wasn't supposed to turn out this way. We had expectations in mind." "I know what you expected and had planned. Shit happens, ok? There's nothing we an do about it now except sit it out and wait." Quietly, john watched the eyes watching him. Playtime was always like this. He never felt comfortable around the other kids, thinking they knew what he knew. No one but him seemed to take notice of the spies watching him through the bushes. Finally getting up his nerves, he walked over to the bushes. Immediately the spy stood up and ran, covering his face and hold onto his camera equipment as he went. The other kids stopped playing for a moment, to see what all the commotion was about. Not noticing anything of importance to them, they went back to digging in the sand. But john continued to stare at the now small figure running away. "One day ill figure out why you were here. One-day ill catch up to you and make you tell me why you were watching me. One day." That night, when his parents were setting the table, john mentioned the spy. "I caught a man watching me at school today." Nothing. "Mommy? Daddy?" "Sorry, what did you say Johnny?" "I saw a man watching me at school today." "Oh. Well, i'm sure it was nothing. Probably just someone in the wrong place at the wrong time. What would you like john? Milk or orange juice?" "Orange juice, please." They ate the rest of their meal in silence. Up in his room, john was playing with his robots. Negatron was beating hegira, but just barely, because he had no arms left, just a laser, while hegira had a hole in his stomach and both arms missing. He turned to look out his window, seeing whether or not the sun was Still out, and noticed the same spy from the bushes video taping him from across the street. Both were immediately shocked and suprised, and acted on it. John took off down the hall, toward his parents' room, while the strange man quickly gathered all his Recording equipment. "Mom!" Nothing. "MOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!" Again, nothing. John was beginning to worry now. He sat down and cried at his parents' door, not knowing where they were. He quickly got over it and went downstairs, hungry from all his spent energy. Reaching the fridge, he noticed a note on the pad of paper Magnetized to the fridge. It was the same pad his mom used for grocery lists, the one with faded flowers as borders and the word 'MOM' written in big, italic letters. He had bought it for her birthday. Thinking of his parents gone, he started to cry again. "They're gone for ever! They left me here all by myself!" He stopped crying momentarily and heard the garage door open. Running into the garage with tearstains still on his cheek, he met his parents. Or at least whom he thought was his parents. A big black assault vehicle rolled into the garage, and his parents stepped Out of the car to grab him. Only it wasn't his parents. It was a woman with big thick turtle shell glasses, with blue eyes, red hair and enough freckles to make a cheetah jealous. She was wearing a white lab coat with blue jeans and a pair of tall black cowboy Boots. The man was wearing a black suit with black sunglasses. The first thought that came to john's mind was the movie "men in black", for he had just seen it on the ACM (American Classic Movies) channel. He tried running back into the house, but the man in the suit moved with such speed that he was in front of the door before john had taken two steps. Like a wounded coyote, he started backing up, panic and fear in his heart and eyes. The woman in the lab coat quickly picked him up and into the car. They sped away from the house, leaving tire marks on the driveway and street. The injected a morphine of some sorts to calm john down. Exhausted, john quickly fell asleep. His parents came home that night to see the house empty, the robots still fighting, and the fridge door open. They could not find john. John was dreaming. Dreaming of all the things he had done bad to his parents. All the rules he had broken, all the times he had faught with them, all the screaming and crying in order to get his way. He wishes he hadn't done it now. He awoke suddenly, covered in cold sweat and tears. There were no lights on, but he could make out the shapes of children, old and young, boys and girls. Realizing he was awake, they all ran back to their beds. John's involuntary action was to first cry and then ask questions. But not this time. He felt it not necessary; felt it would do no good, only bad in this place. Instead, he stood up and looked for a door. There was none. At least not one with a handle. He then Began searching for a door panel, a switch, anything that would help him in this room. His search proved fruitless. Tired, naked, and hungry, he went back to his bed, only to find someone had taken over it. "You can have mine. Its in the back corner towards the wall." John stumbled back over to his bed, only to discover a huge hole in it. Now he was cold, naked, tired, and irritated. "I figure this out tomorrow." he thought silently to himself. But he did not figure it out the next day. He didn't figure anything out the next day. All the next day held for him was pain, sorrow, and anger. This combined together to make john one of the most feared kids in his group...
