Well, let's just say the Covenant did a scouting run before they attacked Earth. A scouting run would have told them it is heavily guarded.
Oh, in the next one, there is going to be a very big plot twist, and maybe some Cou-flood-gh! Excuse me, had something caught in my throat:)

I can see where you might think that the Covenant wouldn't know it's our homeworld. Unfortunatly they have been studying humans for a long time, so I wouldn't put it past them to know.

Yeah, I know the numbers were a tad inflated. But Earth is the most important thing for the UNSC to defend. They'll put everything they have into defending it. The Covenant will also put everything they have into attacking it.

Actually kinda cool. The numbers were a tad inflated, but oh well. I love dogfights so that makes up for it's inadequacies...
