When I said 75 max rounds I meant no more than 75 each time. Sorry for the confusion to anyone who cares.

Okay, I've had that happen before once or twice--never here though. Pretty good that your dad can still shoot good in his old age. My dad was never much of a shot--I bested him the first time I ever went shooting, when I was eight, and he's never beaten me with a rifle since. Here I'm gonna brag: I can put ten shots in the space of a quarter with a scoped .22 at one-hundred yards and I've been shooting maybe six times in my life, all with a total of max 75 rounds. With a pistol he's a bit better, since he's had more practice holding a heavy gun steady with an outstretched arm.
Sorry to have had to put you through that. As for the scoped .22 thing, it's not like a scope makes everything easy. As one of my rifle instructors once said, "If you're not a good shot in the first place, a scope will only show you how bad you really are." Okay, I'm sure you're sick of my bragging, which is not really much compared to military shooting or even experienced civilian marksmanship, but like I said I've only gone about six times over the course of six years.
Go NRA!

"Shit: Through the eyes of the Military
*An Army grunt stands in the rain with a 35 pound pack on his back, 15 lb. weapon in hand, after having marched 12 miles, and says, 'This is shit!'
*An Army Airborne Ranger stands in the rain with a 45 lb. pack on his back, weapon in hand, after having jumped from an airplane and marched 18 miles, and says with a smile, 'This is good shit!'
*A Navy SEAL lies in the mud, 55 LB pack on his back, weapon in hand, after swimming 10 miles to shore, crawling through a swamp and marching 25 miles at night past the enemy positions, says with a grin, 'This really is great shit.'
*A Marine Scout/Sniper, up to his nose in the stinking, bug-infested mud of a swamp with a 65 LB pack on his back and a weapon in both hands after jumping from an aircraft at high altitude, into the ocean, swimming 12 miles to the shore, killing several alligators to enter the swamp, then stalking 30 miles through the brush to an FFP, says, 'I love this shit.'
*The Air Force NCO sits in an easy chair in an air conditioned, carpeted office and says, 'My e-mail's out? What kind of shit is this?'" -http://www.marinescoutsniper.com
That's the air campaign for you!

NCO=SNIPERS ROCK!!!!
My dad wasn't one, but he sure as hell could've been one. He has great eyes and a dead-on aim. He can still hit a bowling pin from 300 yards away on a gun he's never used before in his life without scope....at 58!!!

Another great Mainevent poem... yet, it's hard to find anything bad, if the name "Mainevent" is plastered beneath it. I liked this one especially since, at the same time I'm writing my Grunt Brigade series I'm writing another one about pilots... no more details till it comes out. And, since if MasterGrunt sees this it will make him cry, I'd just like to tell him: I AM going to finish Grunt Brigade.
