Ghosts dart among the graves The died so that men would not be slaves They died with their boots on The glorious thousand
The 11th, the 11th Doomed was their fate And even though the hour was late They died with their boots on
They would not fall They would not flee The would not surrender For death and glory, and too be free
They died with their boots on The bodies are still The buzzards fear the ghosts Of they that died with their boots on
For death and glory and to be free They died with their boots on And their brave hearts are still For death and glory and to be free
