Ninth Age of Reclamation
Ninth age of the reclamation, Step of Silence Covenant Holy City "High Charity" Sanctuary of the Hierarchs. Day 967- 3400 units
Shylu Chalee walked into the High Charity Sanctuary. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and looked up at high purple ceilings and shafts. He had only been here twice, both of which he was promoted with great honor and blessing. He hoped that there would be a third promotion. He looked around and noticed that the main hall was empty. He looked at the ordinance schedule: 3400 units. The sanctuary should be buzzing with grunts cleaning floors at this hour, and only two Honor Guards, out of the original fifteen, we're stationed. He suspected that the evacuation would only affect the lower levels, but it seemed to consume the entire Sanctuary. As he walked to the Gravity Bridge, the two Honor Guards stopped him. "What are you doing here?" the first Honor Guard asked in a deep and authoritative voice. "I'm here on order to see the High Council, by the Prophet of Truth himself." Shylu replied. "All levels were to be evacuated and the Council has canceled all their meetings..." the second Honor Guard added. "By 2600 units." "What is your name?" Shylu asked in a demanding voice. "Kwaga Alamee," The Honor Guard replied. "Well, Kwaga, I was ordered down here at 30-hundred units." Shylu pulled out the ordinance schedule again and showed them the holographic order of the Prophet of Truth. Kwaga narrowed his eyes and grunted. He went over to the activation pad, tapped a few symbols, and the grav-bridge formed. Shylu nodded upwards and stepped onto the bridge. He felt himself being lifted up about a foot, and pushed across the winding platform. He stepped off the bridge, and before stepping inside High Charity, quickly checked his black-plated armor that he so hastily put on before making the trip to the Sanctuary. He straightened his helmet and went over to the large door. Shylu took another deep breath and stepped inside. "Ahh, I've been expecting you Shylu...I hope Kwaga and Joogu didn't give you too much trouble..." The Prophet of Truth turned his chair to face him. "Not at all Holy One," Shylu replied. The Prophet smiled. "Good." "Why has there been an evacuation?" Shylu asked. "The Demon has recently killed the Prophet of Regret. We don't know where he's gone, but we think he's coming to High Charity next." "The Demon," said Shylu in an angry tone. He remembered the pain he felt for his friend, Zuka Zamamee. It wouldn't have bothered him so much if he had died in battle. It is to be expected, but he died by the Demon's own hand. What a waste. "What exactly am I here for, Holy One?" "You are here because I am promoting you." Shylu hid a smile. "I am promoting you to the Narquoli, the Right Hand of the Council, the special and secret force of the Elites." "I have never heard of such a force." "Good, you shouldn't have. Let's just say they do certain questionable missions. Many do not survive." Shylu looked at the Prophet with a puzzled face. "Of Course, if you don't accept, you will be executed immediately, in order to protect the secret from getting out." Shylu hesitated. "I accept," Shylu replied slowly. "Good," Truth answered. "We shall begin." Truth waved his hand and a case, which was once disguised as part of the ceiling, lowered between them. "You can speak with no one, except the high council. Your new armor has a long lasting camouflage device. Stay hidden." Shylu watched as the case opened revealing black and silver armor. "Thank you Holy One. I am greatly honored..." "Don't be. Now go. I shall brief you and the others on your new mission soon, after I take it up with Mercy..." Shylu quickly put on the new armor and started for the door. Then he disappeared.

Lekko attached his Fuel-Rod gun, and checked on his brother beside him. "Is everything operational Lokku?" Lekko asked in a guttural, almost synthetic growl. "Yes, my brother. I've loaded the guns myself," Lokku answered. "Let's head out." "Let's." Lekko and Lokku left the Hunter's quarters, and headed toward the grav-lift. Lokku remembered that they would need assistance with the lift. He called to the first grunt he knew passing by. "Linglin, come," demanded Lokku. The scrawny little grunt followed quickly. They walked up the lift, and Lokku turned to face the pitiful little grunt. "Reverse this lift," ordered Lokku. The grunt quickly waddled to the control pad and pressed the orders. Nothing happened. The grunt hesitated, and entered in the orders again. The grav-lift reversed. "Don't make that mistake again," said Lekko. The Grunt made a tiny squeak and hurried away. Lekko turned to his brother. "Pitiful." "They are half the reason we're late to briefings so often." "And they blame us..." Lekko shook his head in dismay. Lekko and Lokku stepped into the lift, and they we're then pulled to the lower levels. They went down to the Phantoms stationed in the East hanger. "I hope we don't meet the Demon," said Lokku "Many brethren have fallen to his hands." "Not likely," replied Lekko. "There are too many other platforms the Demon could cross to get to the Prophet of Regret. The chances of him crossing our stationed point, is too slim." "I sure hope so my brother. I do not wish to die by his hands. No honor at all." "Are you saying you would not like to do your part?" Lekko asked "To witness the Great Journey?" "Sometimes I wish I didn't have a part." "Don't worry my brother, we survive together, or we die together." Lekko and Lokku then boarded the assigned Phantom, and took off.

Shylu walked into the main hall, camouflage activated. The hall wasn't empty anymore. He saw five Elites with black and silver armor, talking. One of the Elites turned toward him and nodded upwards. Shylu looked behind him, but saw no one. He looked back at the Elite, and then slowly walked over. "Welcome to the Narquoli," The one Elite said. "My name is Isna Nosolee." "You...saw me," said Shylu in a puzzled tone. "Other members of the Narquoli can't be hidden from us," replied Isna. "What is your name?" "Shylu Chalmee." "Well Shylu, please join us." "Thank you." "I hear we're going to hunt the demon," said another Elite. "I don't know. Why would we be stationed here?" asked Isna. "To protect the Prophet of Truth and Mercy," Shylu answered. "The Demon has killed the Prophet of Regret and is coming here. That's why these levels were evacuated." "Oh really...Are you sure?" Isna asked. "By the Prophet of Truth himself." "You mean we don't get to kill it?" the Elite to his right asked. "I'm not sure. This briefing shall tell us, in good time," Isna added. Then Isna's ordinance schedule stared to beep. "It is time." The six Elites, head to the High Council door and step inside. Ninth age of Reclamation Day 965, 6437 units-2 days earlier.
Lekko and Lokku were deployed on a structure above the lake. They saw the demon coming. "What were those odds again?" asked Lokku. Before Lekko could answer, orange blood splattered from Lokku's body and he fell to the ground. Lekko let out a load grown and charged blindly toward the Demon.

The Master Chief saw the angry Hunter charge him. He switched from his beam rifle to his SMG. Not the weapon he'd normally choose for taking down an angry Hunter, but it was all he had. He started to fire, but the shots were ricocheted off the unknown metal alloy of its giant shield. He glanced to his right and spotted a plasma rifle near a fallen Elite. That just might be close enough... The Master Chief dove to his right, grabbed the Plasma Rifle, rolled to a crouch, duel wielded it, and fired at the advancing Hunter, all in perfect timing. Too low, reload, no time... The Hunter was on top of him. He had no chance. The monster then raised his large metal shield, revealing the tender orange belly. The Master Chief dropped his empty SMG and fired the plasma rifle into the belly of the large beast.
Lekko raised his shield, ready to smash the Demon into the ground. But he felt immense pain as the Demon fired into his exposed belly. Lekko let out a scream and let himself fall backwards onto the ground, unconscious by the pain.
With Plasma Rifle heating in the Master Chief's hand, the Beast gave out a cry and fell backwards. The Plasma Rifle gave to the heat of firing, and opened its side compartments in attempt to cool itself down. The Master Chief gripped tight to the rifle, lowered his arm, and took in a deep breath. One he had forgotten to take while the Hunter was about to slam him into the ground. "Incoming Pelicans Chief," Cortana added. The Master Chief took another deep breath and waited for the Pelican to drop off some more armament.
