A/N: This is the poem that I used for the prologue of my story "The Road to Zaxheoa." This is the poem in its complete version. This one also ryhmes. Also the last line of each thingie don't know the name at the moment) was purposefully intended to not ryhme.
The Human
The timeline of the human race Tells me something: We all slowly at a certain pace. It's best to live it to the fullest...
White clouds dot the sky The sun smiles down at me: A perfect day to fly. Until that darkness came...
We're fighting long and hard But our moral is dripping: The Covenant might draw the Death Card. And then everything would be all gone...
Their technology is light years ahead As ours slowly withers: Probably by the time I write this I'll be dead. And then there'd be no point to all of this...

A/N: Like it? Hate it? (But please don't flame me like some ass hole did). This was meant to be told as though Corporal Owens had written it, and had not gone to bed that night. in the prologue. I'll be sending in more poetry (since they're not as long as stories and they don't take alot of time to make).
