Emerging out of room one, the imfaumous "Amiddeus" was carrying an SMG and a magnum, and he was waiting for his sheilds to charge back. He had just gotten into a scuffle with "Demonhead" and had ended it by planting 20 rounds into the opponents skull. He had entered the rumble pit map with high hopes, but hadn't recived much. Only five minutes into the match, he had nearly been killed. Twice, and had only gotten one kill so far. He saw another warrior running towards him. "Prizefighter" was his code name, and he was moving up pretty quickly in the ranks. His sheild recharged and his SMG and magnum loaded, he charged Prizefighter with speed. Letting out a fury of bullets, Amiddeus felt comfortable now, for he could hear the beep beep of the sheild low indicator on Prizefighter. Suddenly, Amiddeus felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. His sheild indicator read zero, and he realized that it was his sheild low indicator going off! Strafing to the left Prizefighter's ongoing rant of SMG plasma rifle combo, Amiddeus jumped down to the bottom level, did a quick roll, and dived behind a wall. "Bastard!" he yelled. Amiddeus stood up and turned to shoot his magnum, but heard a "click" as the hammer bent down on the bullet that wasn't there. Knowing that his SMG ammo was low, Amiddeus looked around desperatly for a weopen, any weopen. Prizefighter stopped and ducked behind a wall to reload, which gave Amiddeus a chance to sprint to the other side of the arena. Raising his spirits, was a used rocket launcher sitting next to a corpse. He checked it, and it only had one rocket left, but he didn't care, he just wanted to move on to the next level. Thats when he realized that he was the only warrior left, besides Prizefighter. He picked up the rocket laucher and made his way back to Prizefighter. Looking around, however, there was no sign of him. He covertly went up the stairs to his right, and to his unsatisfaction, there was emptyness there. "Tink-tink" "What the hell was that?" Amideus thought, as the ensuing explosion from the frag grenade made him jump. " Funny" he thought, that grenade was nowhere near me. He then heard the 3 burst blast of a battle rifle, and something wizz over his head. Amiddeus dropped instantly, and rolled to a wall where the only thing that could see him would be someone standing right over him. He got up, pressed himself against a wall, and went to the side and peered around the corner. He saw Prizefighter reloading his battle rifle, and Amiddeus didn't hesitate to let off his only rocket. The rocket sailed towards its target...
Prizefighter just emptied the clip of his battle rifle, and was reloading it when he heard something. He jumped at the last second, avoiding the blast of the rocket. He dropped the battle rifle, and took out two magnums from his belt. He sprinted towards the sender of the rocket, Amiddeus. Prizefighter knew too well who Amiddeus was. Prizefighter didn't like him much, and would love the chance to kill him and take his spot. Many people looked at Amiddeus with fear, but not Prizefighter. As Prizefighter sprinted to the wall where Amiddeus was, he prayed that was the last rocket, and he took the risk. Diving over the corner, he let out the blast of both magnums, and hit nothing. Confused and a little dazed, Prizefighter realized what had happened a moment before the nose of the SMG was cradled on the back of his head. Amiddeus had picked up an SMG and circled around the wall as Prizefighter dived behind it. "This is where it ends a-hole" Prizefighter heard. Then breaking the breif silence was a loud beep. Then the unmistakable buzz of 343 Guilty Spark. "Time is up" he said." You two put on quite a show, and I've decided to let you two be partners for the new "double team" match varient". Amiddeus and Prizefighter looked at each oter, and didn't like the idea of competing with each other. They started to argue about it to Guilty Spark, saying that they'd perfer the rumble pit, and that they dispised each other. "Well, I could just feed you two to the the flood, and that would settle the dispute" Guilty Spark said. The arguing stopped, and the two warriors had decided the best of it. " If you still have any objections, then say something, otherwise stay quiet." The two didnt say anything. " Good! Then if you'l follow me, we'll go on to the double team battle right now." and the three of them were teleported to the next arena...
