Life of a grunt

The life of a grunt is simple enough sleep and fight. But this particular grunt that I am writing about is probably the greatest grunt that ever existed. He made it through the battle of Halo and the invasions of Earth.
The first day of the battle of halo: This grunt was called Zuk. Zuk was stationed to guard the control room from attack. "ZUK get that shade cannon fixed" said his superior "Yes" so he waddled over to the turret when all of a sudden he was being fired at he ran over to another turret and realised that a Banshee was firing at him. He immediately opened fire on the banshee but the banshee shot at him with its fuel rod gun and flipped the shade cannon on top of him and he was wedged in and couldn't move. He lay there as he saw the banshee attacking relentlessly against his comrades but once they were all dead he saw the banshee landed and someone got out he was shocked and amazed that it was some kind of human but he couldn't reach his plasma pistol he just lay there silently. Later on once the human left some covenant came and he screamed for help they helped him from underneath the shade cannon and asked him "what happened" and he replied, " I don't know we were attacked by a human in a banshee".
But that would be the least of his worries that same night the flood attacked the control room, they were attacking all of the adjacent canyons but something happened they did not expect, the human that Zuk had encountered before attacked him from behind but he was luckily knocked into a deep hole in the ground by a grenade and he couldn't get out.
Much later a covenant transport came to check for survivors he got o and went back to a ship, which immediately departed and went back to their home planet.
2 years later he would return to action not on Halo but to Earth it self he was scared but confident because of his past experience. When he reached Earth he witnessed the power of his race as the covenant ships literally nuked Earth and wiping out the human ships but this safe view from his ship was about to change. The alarm sounded and they said "intruder intruder" he rushed to his station but was thinking how could this happen. And there he saw the human he had seen 2 years before, he was nearly invincible so Zuk ran for his life this time as he ripped through his covenant comrades. He got on the nearest transport that was en route to another ship and he escaped the human again. About 2 hours later he was sent to the surface of his sworn enemy's planet Earth. He was just doing his usual patrol when him and his 4 other grunts were ambushed by 24 human soldiers and asked to surrender. They did so and they were in a cell when in came the human, the amazing human who had killed so many of his allies in combat. The human came in and began asking questions.
"Where are your forces now"
"We wont say anything ad who are you" Replied Zuk
"I am the master chief" so now his old friend had a name.
"Well im going to tell you one thing grunt I'm going to set you free but deliver this message to your superiors, they must stand down there attacks or risk being beaten"
And so they were set free and went back to the covenant forward base. He delivered the message and his superiors laughed in his face he was issued with a plasma pistol and went back into combat, this time on the very front line where he would meet his end.
His platoon was under heavy fire when he saw the master chief come out of the great fog of grenades and dust. He ran over gallantly with his men, as the defeat of Earth grew more apparent he gave them hope and raced over to the covenant position shooting all that got in his way and his men followed and knew that they would most likely die in the effort. Zuk began to worry whether he would live or not and finally the end came after all he had been through a simple human without the suit without the mind shot him in the head. He lay there barely alive he saw the the failing of his race he saw his comrades lying there dead but he was losing blood quickly until he finally died.
