Hope you all enjoy this part! sorry that I couldnt do it a week before... I had enourmous much homework to do...lol. enjoy.
PART 14
The GHTC Adamant was heavily damaged and the engines were offline and disabled. The covenants prepared to enter the ship and kill all lifeforms in there. Frederick found MCconto after communication with him and bridge fell out. He began to carry him to the sickbay. Covered by a few marines, they moved through the damaged ship.but soon, covenants boarded from any direction. Frederick put down MCconto, picked up his assault rifle and aimed to the places the noice came from. He looked around, and he heared more sounds and growls. "w-w- where surrrrounded by... 20 to...30 covenants...sir." A marine reported as he pointed his gun towards the noise. "Duck!" Frederick said, and the marines ducked. He picked up some metallic plates and put it around them for defence. Frederick held his SMG's in his gun pocket, and his Assault Rifle in his hands, his finger on the trigger. Then, a great noise sounded. The covenants were breaking the hull to enter the area. From every place they brekaed down the door slowly. "ready...........steady........" Frederick said. The doors were broken down. ".............FIRE!!" Frederick said. In a split second, fire was opened on the weird looking covenants. Bullets entered the body's of the aliens and left its victim with a incredible saltsour acid, disintegrating the body's fast. It seemed like these covenants were having a goal, killing someone in the group. Many body's fell down fast and disintegrated and disappeared. " Fire in the hole!" Frederick said and threw 3 plasma Grenades to the mass of aliens.they exploded in a cluster and the marines advanced by throwing some fragmentation grenades. Then they entered one gap and took the elevator to the personnel decks. With MCconto carry ing on his back, Frederick was a lot slower so the marines gave many cover as the covenants were trying to kill them. When they reached the personnel decks, it wasnt much better. Grunts, jackals and Elites moving in mess halls and supply's. allmost every door was closed t block off any covenants, and fredercik with these marines were just in time. They entered the bridge as it was about to close. When they were in, frederick put down Mcconto and he heared the captain talking. ".... What about the Secundary Engines? We must find
a way to get a move on! We got great cargo in here!" he siad. He turned around and saw frederick with MCconto, who was knocked down by the blast. "MCconto? Is he alive?" he aasked. " Yes... hes still alive. He was just knocked dwon by the blast there. " Good. Scanners show that all humans are here gathered in the bridge and just outside it. we got a good toy we bought at Sol II. This is like a EMP, but then it disintegrates all covenant lifeforms, since theyre body is made by other substances then ours. Now we can clean the place out. Ok everybody to the inside of the bridge. Good. Ok. Be ready!" he said to everyone.
He opened a box on the control panel, and turned the switch. In a instant, all lifeforms were disintegrated on the ship with covenant substances outside the bridge and the places other humans were.
"Techs, I wasnt a scanner report showing any whereabouts of covenants alive at the ship, a damage report, shield strenght and all other miscelanious things. Get the reactor online or a secundary reactor so we might be on time before al humans are killed here. I want a report of the Mechs status and calculation of our whereabouts,, and when we arive at sol I."
"Sir... we have 1020 deaths, 200 wounded, 550 missing marines. Damage: Hull integrity is now 25%, shield is at 10%. Coolant leaks at several places as well as fires. Life approval systems at 40%. A little lower and we wouldnt even be on the ground but we would walk in the air.lower than 20% and half the crew has no fresh air to breath but vaccuum. Lower athan 10% 80% of the crew would choke, 0% and we all die. Primary defence systems at 20%, secundary systems at 40%. But even a few bombers cn blast this place up. About 90% of all covenants are eliminated on the ship, and im reading fighting between the covenants. Our whereabouts: we are close to sol I, 2 systems away. Subspace node will work once again in about a week. Then we must wait 4 months before we can do a subspace jump in this status. We could be at sol I in... 3 months..." techs followed up after eachother.
"3 months... what can we do to get faster to sol I, and can the sol inhabitants even survive, since sol II even lasted 6 weeks against these covenants un til the mechs showed up... and what if we lose sol I..." Frederick thought as he passed MCconto to the sickbay people, and as marines were loading there gun to clean the place out.
