authors note this is a continue of rise of humanity that i didn't do sutch a good job on.I renamed and worked the story, if your wondering what happens email me and i will let you know. Feel free to criticize anything ill use it to improve my writing!
p.s. following stories will be written in novale format where new paragraph begins when a character speaks or does a new major action.
Mission clock, Tuesday, August 8th, 2595, 01500 hours
Surface of asteroid en route to Alpha
station docking pins.
He marveled at the natural beauty of the asteroid wondering why something so peaceful could harbor such a dangerous secret. Then his mind came back into focus remembering the orders the commander his brother had given him. "Plant the charges on titanium legs anchoring the station return to the L.Z. for immediate dust off. In the event that you should fail we will have to set the stations reactors to critical ending hundreds of lives and destroying millions of dollars in research. Don't screw up you won't get a second chance." Those words rang menacingly through his mind he bit his lip and fought the drossiness from his brain.
The heads up display pulsed red alarms pulsing through his ears 0089 glanced and saw that his oxygen was critical. Thinking fast he lifted his fist and slammed it through the door of the airlock his cybernetic enhanced strength pushing the blow home, he snatched an h2o tube from the inside of the station and crammed it into an empty slot in the back of the armor. Taking in fresh deep breaths 0089 connected the last of the charges and ran for the L.Z. enhanced leg muscles pushing him at an easy speed of 60 mph in the near zero gravity environment.
With only fifty seconds left the boarding ramp sealed and the half mile long 100 foot high shuttle sluggishly lifted off from the surface. 89 peered through the view port and watched as the blast launched the station into space. He jumped back in surprise as the station broad sided the shuttle shaking its crew badly. Chuckling softly at how scared he was 89 knew that the 1.5 foot of tritanium battle plate could only be breached by a 1,800 megaton blast.
He snapped to attention as the commanders voice sounded in his helmet speakers. "Congratulations on a job well done pleas return to the bridge were going to dock on the station and use are engines to hall it to the Pillar of Fury." "Aye aye sir I'm on my way."
"Alright we can't load the station on to the Fury until it is investigated as to what went on and we get those civilians out of there I am going to lead the away team we will take a small shuttle over to it seeing as it's not docked yet. Now your new armor is ready and so is the final injection of the cybernetic enzyme."
"After this the nano bots inside you will be finished rebuilding your internal structures your bones will have tritanium qualities your skin will bounce back bullets you will be able to regenerate body parts in mere milliseconds after this you will be almost invincible."
"Ok twenty five of you come with me and the last seventy five of you stay here to guard the ship I want your gear stowed and the drop ship loaded ten minutes ago dust of is in forty minutes hop to it soldiers, oh and to all you green horns welcome to the Titan Division you are all now titan class one cybernetic soldiers."
The titans leaped to there feet and had the drop ship loaded and ready for dust off in twenty minutes less than half of there designated time. Commander 006 tapped the throttles and the drop ship drifted sliding with graceful ease out of the cramped launch bay moving slowly towards the station now in orbit above the asteroid.
A piece of armor plating on the station revolved from its position revealing a holocaust missile pod more than capable of breaching the tritanium in places on the larger shuttle the drop ship with only 6 inches of tritanium was a sitting duck. 006 slammed the throttles on the drop ship to maximum burn her engines strained against there mounts as the reactors kicked in to overdrive to compensate for the energy surge.
Ten plumes of exhaust raced by the drop ship and exploded behind them rocking the ship to close for comfort 006 sent the ship into an easy role and opened fire with the five hundred millimeter ballistic anti matter cannons each round one sixteenth the strength of the holocaust missiles. Thirty heavy rounds tore into the missile pod detonating them and blowing a kilometer wide section of the station into space thank god 006 thought that that part was not occupied by civilians.
The commander piloted the ship through the hole of fiery and tortured metal with a panicked ease he hit the reverse thrusters but it was to late the ship slammed through 150 meters of rooms and walls before coming to a rest the hull barely scratched. While the cabin was depressurizing the landing gear was deployed raising the angular vessel six meters above the deck next came the boarding ramp and twenty five very nervous titans and they, had a good reason to feel this way.
A low whine followed by a burst of soft metallic black light flashed into the troop bay striking 002 in the chest his first layer of shields dropped by an eighth from just three rounds he staggered backwards but regained his balance. "All right titans steady your aim and fire at will. That was anti matter there not playing around. 025 where the hell are you get up here and prep your rocket it's going to take all fifty millimeters of that launcher to get through those blast doors up ahead." "Yes sir rocket prepped firing now."
A purple flame flashed out of the rockets exhaust port followed by a soft swoosh sending a fifty mm depleted uranium triple chromium core ballistic munitions rocket (dutcbr) towards it's now doomed target. A blinding green flash, the armored alloys burst into green flame milliseconds before the delayed explosion went off. The triple chromium cores fused together forming a small reactor then went critical increasing the blast a hundred fold just under .5 tons contained in a small area so the blast didn't blow every one to hell and back.
The blast doors were ripped from there hinges and blown backwards fifty meters before shredding into two foot tattered pieces as the left over uranium and anti matter ate away at the armored plating. 025 smiled at his work and fired the last three rockets running the rockets clip dry and smiled harder at the acid green explosion and the twisted limbs of the rebel marines launched into the air. When the blast cleared the only remains were a small pile of ashen bone and a few half melted armor plates, a very clean weapon indeed not very much left to clean up after words.
Twenty five Titans leaped from the bay of the drop ship only to scramble for cover as a trio of dutcbr rockets rained down on there position like so many fiery demons. The commander wasn't so lucky rockets caught him on the edge of his skull two detonating and splashing radioactive flames across his upper torso.
All four layers of his energy shielding dropped alarms blared, the armor automatically ran damage diagnostics a rectangle appeared on the bottom left corner of his HUD the damaged areas of the chest plate glowed a dull red warning that structural integrity was below twenty percent. There were thousands of small air leaks on the sub atomic scale, His armor leaking oxygen at an alarming rate of one fourth PSI.
Dropping to his knees he rolled around to the safety of a engine pod just in time as thirty weapon reports came to his ears and the deck plate where he had just been standing on was torn to pieces a round ricocheted entering his chest just above the heart ricocheted again off the back of the armor and exited just above the first hole.
A soft hum came to his ears the armor was running an emergency MRI all by it's self. Another damage diagnostic appeared on the HUD this time it flashed a cool blue, apparently even though it hurt a lot he wasn't damaged that badly. He edged closer to the drop ship to study his damage report closer the bullet only left two quarter millimeter holes the second barley nicking his heart he watched in amazement as the 3d like image of his insides showed the entrance and exit wounds were closing up.
Some even more puzzling a small blue bar had a tiny portion missing became full again as his wounds closed up this was like one of those video games where you picked up a health kit and you were good to go only one hundred times more dangerous.
006 found out just how far agitation could go when two more diagnostics flashed on screen one was a warning that shielding generators were off line and his oxygen reserves and additional life support were extremely low, followed by a smart remark from his personal AI telling him to get a move on and patch up the hole and get a new h20 tube before he suffocated.
006 used his mind to scroll through the armors CPU and found and switched on the option to mute the AI, "You can nag me later." He thought angrily to himself. Ripping up a two by two centimeter section of deck plate, using the tip of his energy combat blade to weld it to the damaged chest plate effectively sealing up the armor. Thinking with a swift and calm an arm automatically reached in to an armored satchel at his side and plucked out an h2o tube, slotting it into a space in the back of the armor. "Great," he thought, "Now I can breathe in the vacuum environment are handy work created."
006 climbed the boarding ramp strolled into the cock pit, and tapped the switch to seal the hatch while he strapped him self into the crash harness. "Titans load up were using the drop ship to push further in. I've already had my armor breached and we are not used to the new armor yet. Until we warm up to our new augmentations were going to use the ship to explore the station."
When the last soldier had boarded the hatch sealed and the drop ship shakily lifted from the deck and flew through the tattered remains of the station they had tore through and back out of the hole the big cannons had blasted. The ship rocked and spun out of control as an engine exploded ripping from its mounts and no longer holding them on a steady course sent the ship into a un steady roll and they plummeted toward the asteroid.
A missile struck there now flimsy craft on the nose, shattering the plastantium armored canopy and blasting the cock pit wide open. The commander panicked a hole appeared under his feat showing stars and inky blackness. The anti matter left over from the blast continued to eat away at the metal 006 climbed at of his crash harness switched on his magnetic boots and clung to the little door frame of the hatch, barley hanging there as the rest of the cock pit melted away.
001 screamed as she watched the debris of the cock pit fly by the rear view port her nimble eyes feverishly searching for the commander's body. The drop ships super structure groaned and the ship tilted forward from the third blast striking just forward and a little to the left of 006. The blast swept over him tearing at his armor puncturing
it like a bullet through tin foil weakening what was left of his only protection to the hostile environment.
001 rushed forward and unsealed the front hatch to se what had happened and screamed as the limp body of the commander collapsed on her his chest plate badly torn and a reddish black fluid with a metallic luster streamed from the tattered armor and body, from any place it could find to flow from.
001 through the commander off of her and slammed the hatch shut a soft hiss filled the troop bay as the cabin re pressurized. 008 leaned over a key bored and fed commands to emergency thrusters the drop ship came about and slammed into the shuttles launch bay badly jarring it's passengers. The top of the cabin ripped away from the ship as it skied 10 meters slamming into a far wall in a fiery heap.
006 came to a few seconds l8ter pain rippled through put his whole being. His HUD pulsed a dull red as damage reports covered the whole screen warnings of severe internal damage and blood loss. A new window popped up warning that nano bots were tired and shutting down they had repaired 85% of his wounds and he was still mortally wounded. The nano bots had shut down no more regeneration he was at nature's mercy. He glanced at his statistics for survival not good his vitals pulsed wildly unpredictable, his health bar was less than one eighteenth full. . . . . .
