Please read the entire poem even if you think it is too long. This is only my second poem I ever made in my life and I want to get better, so helpful feedback is greatly appreciated. Enjoy!
The War Within
War has no benefits It has no good It has no use It only causes disaster
And the side that wins is not the victor And the side that looses is not defeated
Hundreds of soldiers killed in a single skirmish while hundreds of men, women, and children are killed in an instant
families torn apart by war friends turned against each other
Who is willing to lead? Who is willing to die? Just for honor? Just for the country?
But I say nay that isn't enough to die for honor is to die for nothing
There is no honor in this corrupted world only woe, hates, and sorrow all because of war
who will lead us? George W. Bush? Genghis Khan? Saddam Hussein?
no, they will soon die out but the misery will live on forever and ever
someone started it someone screwed it up maybe the Iraqis maybe the covenants
whoever did it we are now diseased with an incurable virus with an untreatable cancer
our world will never be the same without happiness and joy there is only war
