Chapter 2: Unwanted Trespass
June 28, 2148 1726 military standerard Ulmaryon, Tresgas System Small town of Yechenze
As he opened the door, what he saw in front of him, outside his own house, surprised even him. He was astounded by the images that registered through his retinas, yet a sense of fear quickly gripped him, causing a rock to form in his stomach. As he pulled the door open fully. Something told him this was not a good situation, but like all who follow the law he opened the door. His heart was beating, his breath had slowed. Time itself seemed to curse his choice for opening the door. Standing there in the door way, his doorway, were three UNSC Enforcers. The best that the UNSC had to offer. They have been given the best training and equipment. That, along with there training at orbital drops made them the most feared soldiers in the UNSC. Clad in aluminum armor and standing roughly five-foot-nine-inches, the leader stepped forward. In his hand was a paper with the letters W-A-R-R-E-N-T. "We Have to search you house. Faliure to comply will end up with us taking drastic measures." the soldier said. "On what charges?" Ryvean responded. At this response the Enforcer gave a sigh, to Ryvean this was not what he wanted to hear. All of a sudden the Enforcer stepped forward, walking into his house. "Whoa!" Ryvean said surprised. After saying this he stepped in front of the soldier. "Move. Now!" Finally, after a brief stare down with the man, Ryvean moved, slowly at that. He was really pissing these soldiers off. He closed the door behind them just as a cool breeze swept past him. "Ryvean, who was tha-hey what are you doing in my house. Let me go!" No sooner had Ryvean heard these words than he turned around and rushed towards the kitchen. While running through the hallway he heard a scream from one of the soldiers. Wonder what that was. Just as he rounded the corner he saw his wife slam a metal pot into one of the Enforcers, with a metallic clang. "Let her-" Before he could finish his sentence he got knocked from behind. He then fell to the ground, unconscious.
"That bitch!" said PFC Jeremy "Nwolc" Thomas, as he recovered from his blow to the head. "Quit yo' bitchin and help out." responded Corporal Repumj Hickory, while wrestling the metal pot out of her hands. Coming out of the door way, behind the unconscious Ryvean, stepped Sgt. Nisouc Mendan. He jumped into the fray and helped Repumj wrestle Ryvean's wife to the ground. After a blow to the head, Ryvean's wife stopped struggling. "Private, Corporal, please pick up the lady." Nisouc said. "What do we do with this guy, Sarge?" Repumj questioned. "Leave him. He ain't getting back up in awhile. We can come back for him." Nisouc Responded. "Lets move." "Sir, yes, sir." the other two said in unison.
Ryvean awoke to the smell of a rancid smell. Smoke. As he opened his eyes what greated him was a horrible sight of fire. He slowly got up, due to an injury he sustained when he got knocked out. He moved as quick as his legs could carry him, out of the kitchen. As he looked around, his living room was already on fire and spreading around the front door. cough-cough. "Damn smoke, it's killing me." He ran up the stairs toward his bedroom. Luckly his bedroom hasn't caught fire. Still the rancid smell of the burning wood keep getting to his nostrils. This only helped to make him move faster. He turned and opened the door to his weapons locker as fast as he could. As soon as he opened it he pulled out his M67H, a semi-automatic rifle firing 10.5 mm rounds. Also he grabbed some ammo and a picture of his wife. As he turned around, walking to the door, the door almost crushed him with it's fiery touch. Think, where other way is there out of this house? Just as he tought this his eyes came upon the window. All or nothing. He ran, though hampered by his injury, and jumped through the window. He rolled down the roof, and landed hard on his legs. He lay there for a few seconds, trying to feel his legs. Eventually he got onto his feet, but his right leg was broken during the fall. Soon the dull, shrill sound a sirne filled his ears. Your late. He limped out toward the back gate. I could've helped her, but I didn't. I shouldn't have let them in. he stopped. What choice did I have? I had to answered the door. They would have come in no matter what. With that thought he turned around. As his eyes fell on his house, he saw that the roof collapse into the house. So much for a peaceful life. Who will take me in now? He decided to start moving again towards the answer to that question. Rebels. What other choice do I have? They obviously think that I am a member of the rebellion. So why not confirm their suspicions. As he thought this, a smile appeared on his face. Why not. He turned around one last time to see what was left of his smoldering house collapse. So shall the fires start this path, so shall fires consume this path. I will spare none in my path to defeat these invaders from afar. I shall leave everything that belongs to the UNSC in flames. No more shall I follow the UNSC whole-heartedly. As his former life was consumed in the fires of hatred, his life would take a disheartening turn of events. Why would time be so unkind to poor Ryvean? Because time is only a savior to those who are desprete and a curse to those who are secure. Never will an army in the human lands be the same again. History will bend, not alter, this mans future. As most would hope to live life to the fullest; this man would become the first to charge head-long into something that no one would dare touch. So had the Ulmaryon rebellion gained it's needed strength to defeat the invader from across space
