My Lost Love

Inspired by "Halo"
Note: It's been some time since I've written a story/poem. I used to be called Sergeant B, a fan fiction activist here at HBO. It was nice. Then I got uninterested and POOF! I stopped reading. The quality had gotten bad. Yet, now that inner sense has returned in a lesser form. Enjoy!
My dear beloved, I wish you were here, To enjoy a life, So close and near.
We should have left, When we had the chance, Instead staying on the planet, T'was gone without a passing glance.
How courageous of us, To have joined the fray, After surviving more than any, Walking into Death's ray.
You fought so boldly, Beside my hand, Wreaking havoc, On the shattered land.
You left with Honour, All that you could take, Fighting like no other, Even as you painfully ached.
I remember that moment, On a night, We were together, After the fight.
On the passionate night, Together alone, Among a mysterious, Romantic tone.
Together we created a soul, Made with two vessels, Together in love, Your head on my chest you nestled.
After that night, I never forgot, How lovely your body, A face that would never rot.
A heart of emotions, A mind of love, Caring and affectionate, Like the One above.
Why so bold? Revenge was it? Because the Covenant, Gave you an everlasting hit.
I feel your pain, Sorrow flows, But why fight to the death, Just so you can be eaten by crows?
I had you in my grasp, Saved you could I, Yet the Covenant got you, And made you die.
I should have gotten there earlier, With my fellow marines, So if we got there, We'd be killer mean.
You, And your lovely soul, Disappeared forever, Your loss not null.
I cry now, I cried then, I cry with anguish, Among strong men.
Pitiful I am now, For I cannot forgive myself, Hopefully it will bring death, The stress killing my health.
