Out there, somewhere in the hall,
My enemy doth stalk my fall.
My footsteps silent as can be
She's out there waiting patiently.
Linda's scopes, they never stray
I dance on her bad side today.
Rage as red as crimson hair
My chances now are less than fair.
In my hands the thing I take
Beloved mine, my own cheesecake.
My eyes stray to a corridor ahead
I see the shadow of SPARTAN Fred.
I duck into a passage small
MJOLNIR hardly fits at all.
I refuse to share this treasure mine,
They'd eat it all in a moment's time.
Across the com, John's voice I hear,
I must not listen, I must not fear.
Orders given but not heard, you see;
Cannot be said to count for me.
In darkness here I enjoy my feast,
Almonds and cherries to say the least.
Just as I'm done, the door opens wide,
My teammates found the place I hide.
The last of crumbs, the sweetest gem,
I finish right in front of them.
One set of green, two sets of brown,
Their eyes match each and every frown.
I grin and shrug and stop my lurking
"What? Not my fault. My com's not working."
