Bullets pinging, flashbangs ringing
In my ears all I hear is my heart pounding.
Static is flowing through my veins,
While plasma is melting my brains.
As the hair on my neck rises
So do I
From the ashes
I do fly
To take everything at once
And end this war.
I stand firm in my strength
And my rifle in hand
And if I miss may my heart stand still
Long enough for my shot to fly
All the way to his eyes
And hit my target
Without a doubt
By giving the satisfactory
cry for help.
And even though we may win
Time and time, we all lose in the end
Men dying on both sides
Losing lives from the edges of the tides.
Grenades flying through the air
I guess I have nothing to care
Since I have nothing to lose
No family or life other than
The battle stricken armor I fight, I live, and I die in.
I am immortal, I am a Spartan.
