"Run Mary! Just Keep running!" Shouted a man running down a dark corridor. "Jack! Look out!"Replied a blonde haired woman. The man that had been running down the corridor tripped over something, fell onto his back, and when he got to his feet up he noticed that everything was quite. The woman that he had been talking to was gone. "Mary?" he said in a quite voice. "Mary?!" No response, until he heard a moaning noise, from behindhim. Standing there was the horribly deformed corpse of his wife Mary, and she..it said to him "For your sins I have suffered, felt the fires of hell itself. For that I cannot forgive, you too shall feel what I have felt for all these long years..." A look of terror came across the man's face. "No please. Please dont! I was just doing my job! Please-" He was cut off, several little bug-like creatures sprung from the mouth of the monster, and made their way towards the man.

Two Days Later...

A couple of Commanders had been sitting at a table in the mess-hall drinking coffee. It was 8:24 standard military time, when a Private arrived at the table, saluted, then handed both of them a folder. "Who is this from Private?" Asked one of the Commanders. "Sir, Lord Hood sends his regards." Upon saying this, the Private saluted again then, left the room. "Well Miranda, looks like Admiral Hood still remembers us. Its been a while since he has given both of us an assignment." said one of the Commanders. "Hmm." repled Miranda, who began to read something from the folder. "Lost contact from Scientific Outpost seven, last known communication, 13:04, December 12, 2553. Orders-Conduct investigation, aquire sittuation report, assist in any repairs needed." said Miranda.
"Great, just great, Hood has sent us on another Comm-Break down. Christ, when was the last time we were shot at?" said the male Commander sitting across from Miranda. "How can you say that Michael? Thank god we dont haveto get shot at." replied Miranda in an annoyed tone of voice. She then told the other Commander something she just read-"Check this out, Scientific Outpost Seven is a research facility used by civilian companies for genetic engineering and bio-technology...Weird huh?"
"Right...Weird... Miranda, you dont have to go on this assignment. Ill talk to Admiral Hood, get you transferred to something else." He said trying to comfort her. "Look Mike, Ive moved on. My father died for Earth, and for Humanity. A little Comm-break down isnt going to stop me from doing my duty." A fake smile came across her face when she finished. "Miranda, when do we leave?" He asked trying to change the subject. "Four hours." Michael nodded, grabbed his coat, and prepared to leave when she asked "what are you going to do?" "Get some sleep of course." He replied.

Four Hours Later
-----------------------------------------------------------
"This is Commanding officer on UNSC Bonhomme Richard to Commanding officer aboard UNSC Foward Unto Dawn. We are preparing slip-space engines and shall depart momentarily. See you on the Surface Keyes. Bonhomme Richard out."
"Lieutenant Williams, engage Slip-Space drive, Twenty-Seconds."
The Lieutenant replied "Aye-Aye, sir. Slip-Space drive engaged."(Slip-Space rupture opens)
"Commander, Ten-minutes till arrival at Scientific Outpost-Seven." The Commander replied-"Good, prep two pelicans for departure. When we get to the surface, we need to act quickly." his crew looked at him with confusion. "Sir, its just a Comm-break down." The Commander replied-"Try to treat it as the real thing, alright? If you need me Ill be in my quarters." He got up from his chair, then left the room.
"Quarters? Quarters? Do you strike?" said a voice in his dream. "I may sink, but Im damned if Ill strike!" said a man in a sharp Naval Uniform. He had been having this exact same dream for the past two years. He did not know why he kept having it. Was it his ship? "It could be" he thought to himself. The dreams started happening when he was given Command of the Richard. Maybe it was because Jones' blood runs thru his very veins. What it was, he did not know, but one thing was sure though, seeing his ancestor every night was both a blessing, and a curse. He hasnt gotten a full nights sleep in... Who knows how long, and it was starting to effect his performance as a Naval Officer.
(A knock on the door woke the Commander up.)
"Sir, we have arrived at the outpost. Pelicans are awaiting orders." Shit! thought the Commander as he pulled his boots on. "Any word from the Dawn?" he asked. "No sir, but her CO is requesting to speak with you personally. It sounded urgent." hmm urgent... "Alright, Ill be on the bridge shortly."
(later on the bridge)
"Lieutenant, open COMM channel with the Dawn's CO." "Yes sir." (Comm link opens) "What is it Keyes?" Miranda replied with- "Did you check the long-range sensors yet?" curiosity came across Michael's face. "Why what am I going to find?" Miranda, with a hint of fear on her face, said- "There isnt a single human lifesign down there." Not much of a Comm-breakdown if you ask me. It was much worse..."
