(finally i got another story)
War can be your place in life. War can be your personal playground. It can be your personal Sam's hell and many things more, one thing it is never is safe, people die so other people can continue their normal life. Allot of people die if allot of people are involved and if allot of people die the chance is larger that you will lose dear friends you made while your own life gets more safe in numbers. This can sometimes lead to losing one to many people you know and one o many can break you. You wish you could take their place, you wish you could join them, you wish you could turn back time and do it all over again, you wish this, you wish that, but your wish never turns fact.
Looking out of his tent, he saw a flag flapping in the wind. Sun shun exactly trough the flag and at some points in the flags flapping light would get passed it and burn onto his mental visor. He got vertical and sat in the sun as it shun trough the flag, making it shine red onto him and his tent. As the ground felt like an earthquake and dust covered his sight on the sun the flag and its mast as they fell over, conveniently directly at his tent. As the mast came back into view he wanted nothing more than to be crushed by it, his luck was crushed right next to him as the mast missed him with only two meters. Dust made it into his tent and left it again as it collapsed partly under the mast, pushing the air out. Hands grabbed the tent and stabbed a knife trough, making a hole.
"Kazama, are you alright?" The marine shouted at him as he got in the hole and sat down, first of all checking him for pain in the neck.
"I'm fine, as always." Kazama replied with disappointment.
"Don't be so sad about it, you should be grateful, god does not want you to die, not the last five near misses, not this time." The marine said with a voice lowered in volume with a double shoulder tab. Kazama got up and looked around his tent.
"Must you take all that i have got and leave me lonely?" Kazama grunted at the sky, imagining it to be clear with a little white cloud near the middle, the sun shining brightly.
"God has his ways, god has his plans, lets get out before you actually get yourself injured." The marine said while turning his back, walking out of the hole, revealing a white cross on the back of his suit. Kazama followed and looked around, hell had some to the place like it usually does, trough death and destruction. Kazama stretched for the first time in half a day as plasma missed his head by a meter.
"You really want to die do ya? Well you still have a duty to the army so keep your head down." The medic said while putting his hand on Kazama's head and pushing it down a bit. Kazama walked passed the medic and crouched, picking up an marine helmed. It had sand and ashes mixed in it. Kazama put it on, emptying it on his head.
"Well, at least now i am among the dead, i can live with that, hold on, the wind took them away from me, I'm ready to die again."
His voice had not a single sent of humor in it as he really meant his words and their meaning. Suddenly a small uncharged plasma pistol bolt struck Kazama in the chest.
"Wahoo, take me to paradise." Kazama said while looking at the plasma burning trough his suit. He could feel his chest hair shredding but than it stopped, the plasma bolt had only been large enough to burn a hole in his suit.
"Let me see, your really something, your skin is untouched while your chest hair has burned away-" The medic was rudely interrupted.
"Don't call it luck, god wanted me to live with a hole in my suit, next time he'll take away all my clothes I'm telling you, I'll really have nothing left besides this corpse i spend my time in."
Kazama walked up to a marine he recognized as one of the few friend he made in the army he still had left.
"Hey snooze, you do realize that all my friends in this place die sooner or later?"
"It its my time to go, its my time to go, at least god will let me have me eternal slumber." Snooze replied as he turned to Kazama, afterword looking back at the enemy and opening fire again with the turret he was mounting. Kazama got to his spot at this base, another turret they held the covenant behind cover with. The medic, up to date at his side saw a wounded and ran toward it with haste. Kazama grabbed the two handles of the turret, holding his thumps on the triggers on top of the handle and aimed it at the enemy.
"May god give you your rest sooner than he gives me mine, if he ever does that is." Kazama grunted at his aim. Just as he was about to squeeze the trigger something came to mind.
"Medic!" Kazama shouted. The same medic as before left his wounded and rushed for Kazama.
"Are you hurt, are you actually injured, has a miracle actually happened?" The medic got out his mouth within two seconds while adrenaline rushed trough his body.
"hold on, your a medic, right?-" Kazama stopped as the medic turned around and back toward him in a flash.
"Not that i actually got even a glimpse of the cross, but i know its there, so I'll make it a yes, anyway, can medics notate a persons last will?"
"Last will, you so injured you know you dead?"
"Are you on morphine, you all like you are, but sad to say, I'm fine, can you notate that i do not, i repeat, i do not want to be frozen if i get incurable injured or sick, i also refuse machines to keep me alive, don't stop any injury what so ever, just let me bleed to death if i cut my finer, you got that?"
A plasma mortar impacted just out of Kazama's range to his right, near where snooze was stationed with his turret. The medic rushed toward the impact zone and sat down at snooze still alive but having heavy burnings. Kazama looked at the medic and snooze and the impact zone they where near. As if a plasma mortar struck him it came to him, all he knew would die the moment that they left his side. Kazama ran to the medic and snooze and sat down.
"Don't worry, i got you two covered." Kazama said while really believing his words, having total fate that they would stay uninjured. The mortar gave the covenant a few seconds without getting shot at and they took good aim at several turret marines that where not at Kazama's side but as this confirmed his believe a jackal took the time to take aim at the medic, realizing what the cross meant and shot him in the back, burning away at his spine.
"medic? O my god your hit, did i get the system wrong? You where right besides me, you where safe, i give up, just kill me already!" Kazama shouted as he got up, in perfect sight of the covenant, he even spread his arms and looked up but as he did the remaining turret marines had gotten back into action and the covenant needed to take cover again. Kazama opened his eyes after a few seconds of still living and saw the plasma should being taken to optimal use. Now his hopes of ever dying left his body and he began facing his empty existence. He well down on his knee's, his arms still spread and his head still up, a tear left his right eye, being quick to touch his right knee patch and reunite with him. He was just like his tear, water can never get over date, it can change, but it will never die, and that was what he felt like at this point, he felt like his life was just like water, like a sea full of fish, non of them where there to stay, while he, being the water would always be, even trough times when there where no fish at all. He looked at the enemy again, some of them where staring directly at him trough their pink plasma shields but non of them got from behind cover. Than one of the shields gave in due to a grenade exploding it. The jackal behind it looked at the troops actually active in this battle, than he decided to take a swing at it and aimed his pistol for Kazama. Kazama closed his eyes and faced death on his mental visor. A blow to the torso got him of his knee's and he fell to the ground, it just felt all wrong, the blow came to his back and his face hit the dirt. Another marine had pushed him over, getting hit in the proses. Kazama rolled over and saw the marine with a burning face, still looking at him. Kazama let out another tear trough his right eye and it went into his ear. He got up and on his feet. He turned to his enemies and saw plasma pass him. He walked up to them, shaking his head, more tears letting lose of his cheek and touching the ground. He closed his eyes and ran at his enemy. Instinct made him open his eyes and it made him realize that he wanted to see, actually see how his own life would end. As he ran for the Covenant shields, only meters away a grenade exploded and took out the covenant he ran at. He took another target, an elite, its shield still up, not so easy to kill, not even to let Kazama live. He ran to him and as he actually got to him, still being alive he stopped in his track as he went down on his knee's, looking the elite in the eyes. Expecting it to finally end, he got pushed away by the large hand of the elite and he fell over. As he landed on his side he was quick to make it to his back, facing up at the sun, again clear to look at. The sun burned in his eyes but he just kept staring at it, not wanting to have to ever look again, he only saw dead things with it. The sun took away his sight, and ongoing sounds of plasma fire and explosions got him to forget time and please, if it where minutes, hours, or days that passed, he did not know, but finally he could feel something burning in his stomach. It became hard to breath and his cheeks felt wet. Pain felt like it was in the distance, he could feel an object being pulled back out of his stomach and it filling up with what could only be blood. His longs where filled with blood and he just lay there, not even going on his side to let it get out, he had his ticket up.
"Kazama? Kazama can you hear me? are you alive? Thank god he's back, we thought we lost you buddy."
