Unity of Repent
Date: 21 September 2005, 12:01 pm
-Now that I know what the 'text wall of doom' is and understand the code now I can use my own writing. So I prefer as everybody does, to use the names the Humans granted the Covenant, which I will use like Bungie does. And I made up a new kind of Sentinel called a Stalker so that is not copyright but from my mind. Also a small part of the story includes the Ark, just know that I have NO IDEA where it actually is so I made a random guess and I am going with that-

Unity of Repent
Ninth Age of Reclamation
Covenant Fleet, Repentant Espial, Prophet of Regret's flagship, Contrite Ellipse
Put me in
The Covenant fleet, Repentant Espial vectored toward a fortuitous planet. According to reports from patrols this planet was the human's most precious colony. In the flagship of the leading Councilor and Hierarch, Regret, troops frantic to attack positions.
In the Hierarchs chamber the Prophet of Regret flitted in his imperial dais. Before the Prophet were an organized tier of Honor Guards, their disparate armor harmonizing orange and violet.
The Prophet's emaciated arms reached from his robes; he whirred a transparent band on the arm of its throne. With a swirl of blinking mauve the center portal biased open as the Prophet composed.
A quartet of Elites approached the Hierarch all in gray imbued armor symbolizing covert ranks. These Elites were the epitome of their kind: vain and compliant. The Prophet favored these for his exceptional tasks, tasks that required secrecy. The group strolled toward the Hierarch with haste in their steps.
The Elites stooped in obedience under Regret's wave. The Elites accredited his revere and waited for the gesture.
"Rise, Repent" The Prophet uttered waving his fingers concisely.
The Elites rose in unity, each eager for a task as one. The Prophet sneered at them undoubtfully with tidings for responsibility.
"What is the bidding, holy one?" The front Elite growled.
The Prophet responded briskly with the drab jeer of impatience from the Elites.
"As the succeeding hand of my fleet, you are my attainment for veiled tasks"
The Prophet stopped and hesitated his orate but spoke with a benign tone.
"I formed you, picked you from derivation and taught you under my graces. As my single recovery force
The Unity of Repent, I appointed you."
The Elites looked at their founder with noble eyes.
"As you all know we are bound for the human planet Earth, and our patrols have relayed us on their stronghold just as they were vaporized by the desecrating vermin. However we have discovered a significance in this fortunate destiny of ours-"
The Prophet stopped as the lead Elite of the unity blinked meanderingly. The Elite seized his opportunity.
"Are we not going to devastate their planet?" The leader said curiously.
The Prophet upsurges in his dais and spoke with a exhortation manner.
"It seems our gods have left behind one of their exalted signatures in our path"

Empty Promise
The Unity of Repent plunged encircling each other with perfect formation. The leader, Ralis 'Rahanammee was distinct from his unity by the white crested armor with the stealth gray. 'Rahanammee was the most tactical and sensible than his brothers, and he lead his unit with supremacy.
"Leader we will follow your lead!" Dadin 'Haroammee roared.
'Haroammee was the upright and faithful sense. 'Rahanammee nodded his heed.
The next two, Unaa 'Cemmemmee and Malhe 'Unnummee swiftly slipped next to 'Rahanammee. 'Cemmemmee and 'Unnummee were the firmness of Repent they were the amenable types.
'Rahanammee saw a station burst and blow up sending wreckage flying across their unit. 'Cemmemmee spun in a roll as a Banshee shredded past them in blue flames. The Elites marked the destroyer of the Banshee a trio of Longsword fighters swayed toward them.
"Engage them, Repent!" 'Rahanammee snarled breaking toward them getting adjusted for confrontation.
A growl ruptured 'Rahanammee's from his companions and they tore for the trio.
The humans fired first hurling salvos at them; the salvos homed on their target. 'Unnummee dived as they were bound for him, 'Rahanammee fired a plasma projectile at the Longsword. With a lurch of dread, the Unity Leader watched his brother weave as the salvos lost impetus and silently exploded.
The projectile 'Rahanammee sent reamed toward its target, the ship shattered in flames as the plasma swallowed the ship. 'Cemmemmee's Seraph entwined in the clutter and shot the debris from hitting the small fighter. The space was alive with clutter and wreckage, as 'Haroammee shot one of Longswords in a swell of plasma. One remained and it curved and flew away from the Unity.
'Rahanammee flipped sideways and slipped into a dive, he felt the triggers in his palm and prodded the cannon. His Seraph's turrets inclined to a pivot and shot plasma at the last Longsword. The plasma showered inside the fighter and ignited turning the ship into floating fire. The battle won, 'Rahanammee heard a uproar of cries in his battle array.
"Commendable skills, Unity!" 'Rahanammee shouted through the array.
"Obliged, leader!" 'Haroammee gnarled.
"Let's keep moving toward our magnificence!" 'Rahanammee bellowed clenching his mandibles in a satisfied grin.
The Unity of Repent gyred toward Earth its expansive seas sparkled even from space. Clouds covered most of the planet and it gave a exuberant beauty excluding the certainty that it was the human's planet. 'Rahanammee marked the site on their display, a emblem branded the screens and they navigated for it.
The aerospace of Earth burned through their displays, 'Unnummee bespectacled the abhorrent planet with glowing eyes. Each Elite of the Unity of Repent had the same passion; they wanted retaliation for their loss. Halo was their divinity and for the devastation they would pay.
The Seraph unit broke into a form as they entered a shadow clouding the sky. Below them was a city bustling with explosions, a mist of plasma bloomed over a spire in the center city while they entered the city. Over ramparts towering above them, they saw a Ambassador Covenant escort carrier emerged into view.
The Ambassador contained a Scarab walker, which would give them a grip, the city center. The colossal carrier was bright purple and had a gravity lift in the bottom of the vessel, it hovered for a brief second over a artery bridge, and a shimmering pink adorned down.
Where the light shined a Scarab dropped with gradual speed, the claws of the Scarab touched the route and made its way through the cityscape. They had a more important task; they went beyond the city to a effulgent sea.
"Prepare for engulfing!" 'Rahanammee roared.
The Elites flicked an opaque light on their screens. Their Seraphs were modified with submerging rudiments, the Seraphs tined more translucent binds that steered the ship. They then were plunged into darkness, moving swift into the gloom.
They traveled downward and saw verdant in the water along with alien denizen. Into the abyss they were throttled, depth after the next they alighted down spiraling into the water.
"Impending Forerunner vestige!" 'Haroammee said anxious with their discovery.
They then began to see fortifications and towers sticking out of the chasm. Beacons lighted a path into a Forerunner relic. They then saw that the beacons were scanning blue light everywhere. With a sudden sense of fear 'Rahanammee felt the lights had a purpose.
"Don't touch the lights!" 'Rahanammee demanded as he leaned the Seraph out of shot.
It was too late 'Cemmemmee's Seraph hafted into the blue. And with some sort of alert the beacons opened releasing bubbles into the pockets of the verdant. Out of the towers were Sentinels Enforcers, only these were bigger and had a sac of energy at the bottom of their structures.
The sacs then hurled blue energy at the Unity of Repent, one ray grazed 'Rahanammee's Seraph and melted the heat sheath. The Sentinels amassed and they were forced to do one thing.
"Retreat to their surface, Repent" 'Rahanammee growled as he turned the Seraph and ascended up the chasm.
The Unity of Repent floated upward toward the surface. When they appeared from the water into the sky they sank into the silence of failure. 'Rahanammee knew it wasn't their mistaking, they simply needed bigger weapons to pierce the defenses.
Just then shattering their array the voice of the Prophet of Regret himself.
"What is the condition my Unity" The Hierarch said with gleeful curiosity.
"Confirmed it is here, noble one" 'Rahanammee informed the Prophet.
The rest of his unity, 'Cemmemmee, 'Haroammee, and 'Unnummee continued to concentrate on flying. They were restricted to utter words to the Prophet, only 'Rahanammee could advise the Hierarchs.
"It is as the prophecy indicated
" There was a pause into which they only heard the explosions from the Covenant. "You will come to the ship, I have found our Sanctuary!"

Hierarchs Chamber
One Betrayal
The Unity of Repent approached the Prophet of Regret passing the Honor Guards remaining permanent. The Prophet was in front of a jagged machine; the machine whirred and gave an image in the monitor of the enclosure. An immense image of space and the propelling stars flashed on the screen, purple directives were pointing in a certain quadrant of a charted galaxy. The Unity kneeled at Regret's dais but 'Rahanammee remained standing.
"We have found it, Repent, our conquest into the divine beyond is complete" Regret conjectured raising his arms in hail.
"What is it?" 'Rahanammee inquired perking his head toward the triangular monitor.
Regret marked a symbol on the arm of his chair, the screen zoomed on the galaxy and they saw a ring floating in the dwelling of space
Halo. 'Rahanammee's response was estimable his mandibles jutted in a slaver and he was anticipating his first step on Halo.
"Halo
" 'Rahanammee whispered in an exemplary tone.
"We will illuminate this ring where we will be hurdled into bliss
" Regret said rotating his dais toward Repent.
"As we journey to the surface of the ring I have but one task for you before anyone makes base on the holy ring, especially the confounding menace with us on the ring
"
The Prophet paused at this and had a loathing expression on his face. He then continued with the auspicious tone.
"The humans are on Halo? They must be annihilated immediately, admirable Hierarch!" 'Rahanammee said with clenched mandibles.
"They are unimportant
there are efficiencies needed to accomplish the wonder of Halo"
They then saw on the screen that the Contrite Espial was exiting Slipspace they saw Halo pass into view
"Your task is simplistic, and this is a personal task
You will travel into the Flood confinement and release the parasite upon the consecration of Halo"
'Rahanammee was dumbfounded, first he hadn't comprehended what his founder said and he realized that what was expected of them was suicide and it would teem the ring with the plague that destroyed their very lords. Even though 'Rahanammee had not encountered the Flood he knew it consumed every living thing. Without hesitating he contiguously questioned the Prophet's intent.
"Why will we do this task?" 'Rahanammee demanded instantly aware that asking was a mistake.
The Prophet looked as if he actually saw the Flood; he had an averring expression and he looked irritated. Then he spoke with an incensed tone.
"You will do it because the Great Journey rests on your shoulders, you are the transporter of the Covenant and you will do it"
With an unfathomed anger and inconceivable controversy raging inside him he bowed and beckoned his squad out of the chamber toward the muster bay. As soon as the Unity of Repent left the chamber the Prophet knew he had to cease his creation. He pushed a glassy emblem on his arm and the portal opened.
Brutes entered the chamber, the Honor Guards flashing their teeth under their helmets at them. The Brutes approached the Prophet and beamed into a kneel. These Brutes were emissaries from High Charity as representatives to the Prophet of Truth.
"Guards, leave us!" Regret ordered with a repetition.
The Guards slowly made their way to the door, growling under their breath at the Brutes with mistrust. Regret waited until the Honor Guards were gone, and he indicated the Brutes up.
"You will escort the Unity of Repent to their task, when they complete it, execute them quietly
"
Sentinel Wall, Halo
Obliged to do
The Phantom maneuvered through a debris field, snow littered to the ground as the dropship circled the wall. Inside the Unity of Repent were being escorted by the Brutes, as they begin their demented task.
'Cemmemmee adjusted his Particle Beam Rifle, he could not hide his emotions he was scared of this task but he would go in with his nerves intact.
'Haroammee stood with confidence, he reflected the discovery of Halo as he checked his Needler and inserted a clip of purple crystallites inside the head, he was excited to set foot on the ring, but it was interrupted when they were given this devoir.
'Unnummee was expectant for being here, in the Unity but he knew if he went down he would be hailed as a warrior in the Covenant, he shouldered his Plasma Rifle and was deep in an interceding trance.
And 'Rahanammee stood on the verge of corruption, he knew if he disobeyed Regret it would be his head. But he would not lead his brothers to their doom. The Elite tucked the idea aside and fulfilled his corrupted side with faith, once his Unity released the Flood they would make for a safe location away from the Flood.
The Repent Leader knew that the Flood would be Infection Form because they could not take body form because they were starved of life to fill in the mindless void. The Phantom pivoted upward and dropped the Unity of Repent on a platform suspended high into the air by beams of energy. 'Cemmemmee walked forward followed by 'Unnummee and then 'Haroammee. 'Rahanammee then jumped from the dropship and landed in front of the unit.
According to the Prophet, this was a great honor being the first of the Covenant to put footing on Halo. Although he felt impaired like he sensed something dooming on them. The Elites stepped forward and looked over their Sanctuary, with the sense of emotion, confidence, expectance, and corruption.
"You will be fighting the Sentinels on the way to the confinement, Leader" The Brute Phantom Pilot informed them.
"Go the Hierarch will not be benign to defeat" The Brute pilot growled.
The Elites ignored him, but 'Cemmemmee growled through the array, expecting a fight. The Brutes heard him, and flew off without smart comments. 'Rahanammee then adapted to his bearings, and spoke to his Unity.
"Lets start, Unity" Rahanammee ordered flashing his Energy Sword hilt in the snow with uninteresting senses, he nodded at 'Cemmemmee to give the order.
"Enter active camouflage, Repent" 'Cemmemmee ordered as second in command.
The Elite switched to camouflage and felt he became invisible with the environment. 'Rahanammee pointed ahead, they walked through a derelict structure, ramps and bulwarks until they came across a Sentinel pod, it was a rectangular window, and it opened to reveal a Sentinel Stalker, a huge machine, slightly bigger than its counterparts, Enforcer and Sentinel. The Stalker was the biggest of Sentinels and there was only one for each meridian for hunting the parasite.
It had bonds and capsules of energy through its paunch. In the splint of the Stalker were ruby beams of light that created a red shield around it. They split in attack formation, they were not seen yet. 'Rahanammee gave a silent motion with his hand toward 'Cemmemmee.
'Cemmemmee nodded and covertly climbed up a parapet, with a flashy structure the Elites could see each other, 'Cemmemmee reached a high platform, when the Stalker scanned the area. 'Cemmemmee pronged his mouth and looked into the Beam Rifle. With careful precision he aimed for an energy capsule, he shot it and the capsule dropped.
The Stalker turned in all directions, it detected nothing. But it fired in 'Cemmemmee's position with triple blue beams. The three beams hit the platform and smoke hissed from the wall. 'Cemmemmee jumped from the platform and landed hard on the snow, his shields shattered and he was exposed.
'Rahanammee reacted immediately, he disabled his camouflage and climbed up the same parapet, the Stalker saw him ignoring the Elite's unity as they fired plasma and projectiles at it with no effect. 'Rahanammee's shields were pierced for a fleeting instant, he abandoned the platform jumping from onto the Stalker's rear.
'Rahanammee flourished his Energy Sword and began hacking the machine, to avail his unity managed to rid the shield from the beast and 'Rahanammee gave a final strike on the back, and he slid himself down to the ground as the Stalker fell in a flash of flames.
'Rahanammee looked at 'Cemmemmee, his flesh was seared with singeing from the Stalker's laser trio, but he was unbroken. 'Rahanammee regained his shields watching the flames indulge the Stalker.
"Good work, Repent, 'Cemmemmee how is your camouflage?" 'Rahanammee asked panting.
The Elite gripped his arm and tucked away the blood, which sustained when the sparks stopped and the shields restored.
"It is functioning, leader" 'Cemmemmee spoke with a conquering tone.
"Good, engage and follow" 'Rahanammee ordered.
The Elites once again were shrouded into the environment and they followed their defiant and indefinite leader. 'Unnummee saw out of the corner of his eyes ineffectual gadgets floating into the air. They neared the fallen Stalker and were circling it.
"Leader, what of this" 'Unnummee growled as 'Rahanammee turned around looking at the scene.
'Rahanammee watched while the unnamed devices started firing narrow beams of light onto the Stalker. Within a moment a grapnel on the Stalker began to twitch excessively and 'Rahanammee gave a simple wave.
'Unnummee shot the little devices before they could drive the machine to activate. All of a sudden more came from small holes that lit with intense light. The walls were surfaced with the holes, 'Rahanammee kindled a Plasma Grenade and tossed it at the wall, the holes exploded and the devices were halted.
The Repent Leader signaled the Elites forward with a nod and they moved into a grotto hidden under the snow, the tunnel was lit with Forerunner lights that cast shadows on the snow. Deep inside they saw more pods and when they neared it opened with bright white.
At the very depths of the grotto they saw a door, opening as they approached. Inside was a tremendous cave filled with a towering citadel, it reminded 'Rahanammee of a strand, he looked around and saw bank after bank of Sentinel chambers. It was a defensive stronghold, built by their lords to contain the Flood.
On the canopy of the cave there was a gorge that lighted the strand, snow glistened down into another core in the middle of the confinement, around the pit were lights and burrows filled with Forerunner dialects and signatures. They went into the pit and looked at a giant portal, which encased the Flood.
'Rahanammee watched the portal as he approached, it held symbols of the Forerunners and had shimmering images in tiers on the door. 'Rahanammee scrolled the door with his hand and was reminded of his corrupted and defiant side.
"It shouldn't be like this
" 'Rahanammee spoke his mind.
The Unity of Repent looked curious at their leader. They were scared of what was behind the door but they stood strong under 'Rahanammee.
"Leader?" 'Haroammee questioned 'Rahanammee.
'Rahanammee ignored him and paced his hand still on the door. He knew that he would be disobeying and would be removed, but he was willing to sacrifice himself.
"You will get out of here. Now." 'Rahanammee demanded authoritivly.
"Leader?" 'Haroammee repeated, while his unity looked questioning back at each other.
"I will release the Flood, you will get out" 'Rahanammee stopped and realized in dread he was confident about his decision and continued. "It is inevitable we will fall to the infinite tide, but I will stay and you will go"
"No, we cannot leave you to death!" 'Cemmemmee barked boldly, as the Unity nodded in agreement.
"I will not stand idly and watch you fall to a foolish task, I will depart worthy" 'Rahanammee said.
"We will not let you-" 'Unnummee started.
"You will tell the Prophet of Regret you escaped and I fell to the Flood
You will continue the prophecy and be entered into the Divine Beyond as I will now!" 'Rahanammee interrupted.
"Now my Unity, my brothers, Go! Make haste to the Brutes!" 'Rahanammee scowled.
They stood, but as they watched their Leader order them with an oppressed expression they ran toward the cave entrance.
"We shall never forget your sacrifice, Leader" 'Cemmemmee said sincerely as facing his leader and turning to leave, departing 'Rahanammee near the portal.
'Cemmemmee turned into the bright grotto, and out into the light, snow continuing to drop falling on his invisible shoulders. They made their way into a plateau surrounded by craters of snow and rock.
The broken Unity looked up into the sky and saw a Phantom sinking down, their ride back to the Contrite. 'Cemmemmee pulled his camouflage and his gray armor was visible.
"Disengage, brothers" 'Cemmemmee said as the Phantom hovered over the rostrum.
The Phantom, instead of embracing them into the dropship dropped a squad of Brutes; they dropped and growled at the Elites. The Brutes suspiciously circled the Elites and the Unity drew back.
"Where is your Leader?" The chief Brute interrogated in a snarl.
"'Rahanammee fell
to the Flood" 'Haroammee said with a sorrowed tone.
The Brute nodded and snapped in response. They then did a peculiar move. They raised their weapons at the Elites.
"What are you-" 'Unnummee started but was deafened by a scream.
The Brutes turned on them and murdered them on the snowy plateau, the innards of the innocent slayed onto the mount.
'Rahanammee crouched at the portal, gripped with emotion, belief, and tenant he reached for the terminal and opened the door

NHS PROOF
Fate or Consumption?
The Elite dominator of the valorous Unity of Repent, kneeled in concentration. The Elite's appearance was sound with might. 'Rahanammee was built for combat, as every Elite was born to do.
Ralis 'Rahanammee tasted the wet snow on his jaw, he jutted his mouth and growled in remorse. 'Rahanammee reflected the past, he was the admirable leader of a coveted Unity secondary to the Prophet of Regret, he questioned himself, why did it have to be like this?
The Prophet of Regret, their loyal councilor and leader formed the Unity in his palm and raised them since they were infants. 'Rahanammee remembered playing in the Prophet's personal grove in their holy city of High Charity. Why did the Prophet ask them of this?
'Rahanammee jutted his mandibles to a smirk, a painful smirk of the past times. The Elite will lose his squad, his life, and his brothers. He rose into a stand, and revealed a silver tube from his cincture, it had small arrays of mauve that altered color to orange and it had the inscriptions: ◄▲►◄▼►▼►◄►◄▲ across the arrays. These symbols were uncanny to messages, words with particular importance embedded into a orange alloy but 'Rahanammee evidently read, "Unto our grail into beyond."
The symbols rang through his ears; this was a message from the Prophet of Regret. 'Rahanammee slid the message of its Holt and threw it in the snow. He watched in anguish and passion as the orange message smoked in the frozen air. With a final sputter of smoke it was dissipated into the draft.
'Rahanammee held the elutriated portal 'breaker' and immured it into a slot through the translucent terminal. The portal tiers lit into a white, and the breaker aggregated the door to the Covenant.
'Rahanammee sighed breathing cold air that daubed the breeze with frosty air. He removed the breaker and from the translucent terminal a colorful crank appeared.
This was it. The very moment all the Covenant would dread if they were given the task. 'Rahanammee paced, thinking. The Elite followed his tracks in the snow, stopped and breathed the cool air.
The Elite concluded his fear, there was none. He drained himself of all concern and walked to the crank, he pulled it and he realized with a effort that it was heavy, he fulfilled the actuality that it was the things that were behind the door that prevented his might.
As the door activated he flicked his camouflage on and kindled his Energy Sword into a sheltering position. The Elite knew the Flood could not see him but that would not stop them from overpowering his shields to see him
That he feared.
As the door heightened from the sockets of the snow, he saw a wave of copious Infection Forms. They scanned over his position and overcame the grotto. 'Rahanammee was surprised his shields did not falter, while a couple of Infections skimmed his shoulder but did not sense him.
'Rahanammee followed he knew there was no way out but through that grotto, he entreated to send a couple of Banshees before the task but shrugged in a aghast form. 'Rahanammee was astonished he made the wave of Flood. Maybe fate had a higher purpose for him
'Rahanammee distended his mouth and fought back his Elite urge of chasing after them and popping their bulbous bodies with the end of his sword. He trudged with gratitude and watched his detector enamel red from behind him.
From the Flood confinement more emerged even expanding than the menacing wave before, their bubbly bodies were fleshy and afflicted and they scanned the snow with corpulent tentacles.
One Infection brushed his side and it popped, his shields sparked, and his side ached with blood. Another Infection clasped his leg, and felt it sucking his energy. He quickly with sharp reflexes gashed the Infection and it burst into insides. His gray and white armor flashed from discernible to invisible but the Flood had no difficulty suckling on the Elite.
'Rahanammee grasped his hilt and placed the energy tip into the wave, a few popped with a tegument of the parasite. He spared the sword within a swell of the Infection and more cracked with innards scuffing his armor. His mantles were sore from an Infection tearing a plate from his back shielding.
'Rahanammee pushed himself forward into the grotto, he flicked his replenished camouflage but it gave a dim wink of imperceptible and stopped. His camouflage was gone. Through the grotto he emerged, he watched the Sentinel Wall penetrate the Flood in the middle chasm of snow.
The Flood was numerous now it was positively brine of the Parasite. 'Rahanammee saw a rostrum and he distinctly saw three heaps of shadow on the platform
As he approached he saw that they were Elites, in confounded horror he rushed to the bodies of his kin. Lying dead were the rest of his Unity of Repent, 'Cemmemmee, 'Haroammee, and 'Unnummee their bodies mangled with holes.
'Rahanammee felt numb with mental pain, who could do this?
There were scorching marks-he resolved this was not the Parasite that did this. He examined closer, he noticed the rip in the flesh, this was made from a projectile weapon something that exploded on contact due to the profuse blood seeping from a hole in 'Cemmemmee's corpse.
The Elite's extraordinary tracking skills explained the impossible
This projectile weapon was a Brute Shot
He kneeled and held his brothers in his arms, and screamed bereavement and sorrow.
He continued screaming but held his fist to his chest.
"The Brutes shall die in my repent, end to the Brutes!"
Across the gulf of the chasm a Phantom spins with eternal thrust. No smoke was ensuing the dropship it just spun with any flash of what caused it.
'Rahanammee gave a cry and propelled himself across a snowy bridge and made his way to the Phantom. He watched it twirl and collided forming a mound of ice.
The Elite gave a flicker and showed his Energy Sword, from the drop shaft a eerie blue glutted the snow. He approached it without caution, charging in. As he looked inside the shaft he heard a commotion stirring within the Phantom.
He waited and saw with a startle two Infection forms scurry from the shaft, 'Rahanammee razed the two and continued looking at the blue shaft.
'Rahanammee watched two Brutes emerge from the craft, Brute Shots risen. Startled with fury and blinded by lament he slashed his sword across the Brutes chest. He felt the tip gash into the Brute and he was covered with blood from the white-hot tip.
The Brute dropped and the other was astounded by the Elite's quick slit. 'Rahanammee protruded his mandibles and watched the Brute roar in agony as the Elite slaughtered the Brute in the head. He felt the blood pulse to a stop and he cleaved his arms into hail.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" 'Rahanammee screamed in victory. His repent was filled by a pride that he could not contend with.
The Phantom gave a declining totter and toppled back on its side. 'Rahanammee realized what he had to do. He needed to reach more Brutes. He gave a quiver of dismay; the thought of him starting a civil war within the Covenant gave him a rickety feeling.
The Elite clambered in the Phantom; he hacked a cough as he walked into an altered atmosphere. The air was a thick greenish; the spores of the Flood could have suffocated the Brutes causing the crash.
'Rahanammee tapped the opaque terminal, and he looked through the view screen to see the Flood now endless waves scuttle to the Phantom.
Quickly he held the controls and brought the Phantom into the air. Through a transit he flew the snow whipped past the damaged Phantom.
The Elite was one with war; he had no one to fight with but the ravaged corruption of himself. Civil bloodshed was nigh and he sensed its rise.
Silent Atone
The Phantom hummed past a structure, as icy rain cut the smashed nose. The structure was covered by gorges and the Covenant placed caches all over the territory.
He looked over the caches and saw Elites and Grunts emerge from Covenant awnings, he ignored them this Repent did not concern them. The Phantom hovered past chasms, 'Rahanammee brought the Phantom into a frigid cloud.
Then his communications array gave a distant grumble of a voice and 'Rahanammee did his best not to tell the Brute he was bound to kill his kind.
"Where is your vector destined, Elite?" The Brute growled softly.
'Rahanammee gave a silent snarl, and directed his plundered Phantom. "To your Encampment
Brute"
"Unthinkable
You are restricted" The Brute argued.
'Rahanammee flicked the transference off before the Brute got a chance to agitate him even more. The Elite traced the Brute to a Forerunner fabrication outside the gorge.
The Elite brought the Phantom down to the gorge and saw a bridge connected to the fabrication. Brutes were patrolling the awnings where stationed Phantoms and other vehicles were parked outside.
'Rahanammee landed on the outskirts of the fabrication he had no intention of drawing attention. He detached himself from the terminal and walked to a small machine on the wall.
He leaned in on the machine and connected thin cordage into his shoulder plate. He punched the button on the terminal and felt energy slick into his body.
'Rahanammee disconnected the cord and activated his camouflage. It sparked at first then completely shaded the Elite into the purple of the Phantom.
He deactivated it and took a deep rumble and jumped out of the Phantom's shaft. 'Rahanammee landed and ignited his sword, invisible he made his way through a trench.
He felt armored with his Repent, he knew what he was doing was wrong but the Brutes will pay for the blood they have spilt.
The trench closed behind him, the Brute Encampment surrounded a gigantic pool basin dwelled into the Forerunner metal.
The Brutes growled at each other, some were brandishing weapons and others pushed Jackals around the awnings. 'Rahanammee approached a Brute with silence.
They had no idea he was here which is how he fought
Stealthily with Repent
He made the first move-he grabbed the Brute by the head and decapitated the beast with the tip of his sword. The Brutes around him snapped at the covert kill.
They looked around glancing at each other and roaring orders. "Humans? Here? Shield us, Jackals!"
The Jackals hissed and lighted their shields. They formed a protective perimeter around the Brutes. 'Rahanammee had no grudge against the Jackals
yet. They had not gotten in his way.
The Elite pushed one Jackal out of the way; it hissed at him and shot plasma bolts at him. The plasma splashed off his torso but his shields glowed revealing the Elite.
The Brutes and Jackals were taken aback, the Jackals backed up but the Brutes stood their ground. 'Rahanammee quickly gashed a Brute. And they retaliated; the Brutes fired slings of plasma at him.
'Rahanammee quickly flitted a plasma grenade into the wave of Brutes. The grenade exploded and sent the Jackals and Brutes flying, one Brute managed to sustain the blow, his back was tore in a mangled black of fur, mutilated by the Elite's grenade.
He kneeled on all fours and let out a boisterous roar and berserked toward him. 'Rahanammee roared back and braced for the blow. He held the tackle and used his might to push the Brute back, he crashed into the basin and 'Rahanammee tossed his hilt away and grappled the Brute in the tarn.
The Elite pummeled him into a pulpy torrent of fur and blood. He then grabbed the Brute by the ruff of his mane and punched him in the jaw. The Brute sank to the bottom. Dead.
'Rahanammee swam to the corner and pushed himself out of the Forerunner basin. He picked up his hilt and raised his fist in the glorious Repent. The Elite scanned the area; the Jackals lay with their mouths parted. 'Rahanammee no longer cared for the Covenant he marked his camouflage and trudged over a Brute with feral instinct.
The Elite walked through a hallway running into the hallway blending with the sparkling mesh of Forerunner borts. He heard a pair of gruff voices making their way toward him. 'Rahanammee backed into a corner and seen the Brutes patrolling the entrance tunnel. He neared them and heard the astonishing conversation.
"We are the guardians, brother. I predicted the incompetent Elites to fail
"
"The Prophet of Regret was lost to the Elites, this is no longer a primacy in our Covenant, we are the reigning escorts!"
The camouflaged Elite gasped, he was surprised to feel not guilty or angered but lightened, relieved of this. He was appalled with himself yet he felt modest with tranquility. He leaned in for more details, reminded of his anger of the Brutes. The fathom of Repent sank into his chest and he surprisingly waited for more from the two traitors
"The insurrection and tension between the Elites is crucial they will not take kindly to this exchange, despite our gain of Honor Guard" The Brute said, answering the other in scorning manner.
'Rahanammee felt the fire surge through his temper. On the blood of his father's, his forefather's, and his brother's he never felt more betrayed in all his life. The Brutes replacing the Elites as the Prophet's protectors was startling. He sensed war was now near and it would not be his uprising but his brother's
With a rage quite unlike his own he deactivated his camouflage and briskly flashed his Energy Sword. He halted his attack and watched the Brutes for their move
"An Elite
!?" The Brute growled.
The Elite for some odd reason felt he needed to infer his Repent and anger.
"You
Killed my brothers
" The Elite brought the sword to his level. "And for that you must die!"
He instantly sliced down a Brute and felt a shard from a Needler pierce his torso
His shields resounded with a glow and he felt his boiling anger reach a prominent spitefulness
And he continued to lash at the remaining traitor
The head of the Needler brandished by the Brute whacked him in the mandibles
He bit back his pain and swallowed warm blood. 'Rahanammee gashed the Brute and it died with a scream.
The Elite heard a swish and he utilized his camouflage just in time to see Jackals and Grunts come to the Brute's bodies.
The Jackal gave a shrill hiss at the Brute bodies and looked around, 'Rahanammee backed into the wall
He feared the Jackal saw his shimmering body, their eyesight well beyond theirs.
The Jackal charged his Plasma Pistol and discharged it at the Elite with a shock he dived and the Forerunner metal melted into a crisp white.
The Elite grabbed the Jackal by the forearm and erected it into the metal. It hissed as the shield dissembled the Elite from view.
The two Grunts were looking scared and shook with fear.
'Rahanammee revealed himself but the Grunts continued to shake.
"Grunts, no need for fear, my Repent is for the Brutes!"
Elite Rebellion, Halo
We meet at last
'Rahanammee steered his Ghost to a ravine in a center chasm of a foggy spectacle. More Elites and Grunts on stolen Ghosts were bound for a misty peak where a Covenant Ship hovered
He looked overhead and saw his once home
High Charity gleamed like a spiritual orb in the night
Fog licking the sky giving a sense of revolt inside the Elite. 'Rahanammee remembered his constant struggle with the Brutes inside the Forerunner structure
The Covenant Civil War emerging in the harmonious sovereignty
Him and a group of liberated Elites and Grunts took a fleet of vehicles and intercepted a Elite message from this vessel
A Heretic vessel
they referred it as. The message repeated in his transmission repeated over and over
"This is the Heretic carrier, Marauder, we are surviving Councilors of High Charity, we have successfully managed to evade the Brutes but we fear they still have our brothers captive-" There was a stagnant pause and it went on. "We have recovered the Last Heretic, Gala 'Gammamee from the makeshift camp of Burial Mounds. We believe he can lead us into battle and rescue our brothers. We have acumen's that a great warrior of Heresy will escort us back into the light."
'Rahanammee thought of the Heresy menace, an Elite of Dissent would help them? That sounded distorted but spectacular
"All enduring Elites make for the Marauder at these quadrants-" At these words the terminal woke with a blatant sketch of the Marauder located over the very peak they were directed for.
"Make for the ship and we will plan a retaliation with this rupturing of our Covenant!" The message ended and then repeated he ignored it as his liberation met the Marauder's gravlift.
To their utter surprise a battle of plasma issued in the glinting pink. Brutes and Elites embraced in combat and a snare of red plasma and blue plasma erupted in the strife.
Taking assumption of command, 'Rahanammee waved his hand and the Elites broke into the foggy trench where the gravlift was.
'Rahanammee blasted his twin cannons at a Brute and he cried in cessation. The Elite's passion surmised to coercion from the civil war. He actually felt the Brute's blood desist in his own palms. 'Rahanammee urged the control yokes forward and flattened a Brute into the rampart of the lift. As he rounded another Brute he jumped and tackled it to the ground surging his Energy Sword to ignition and driving it into the trunk of the beast.
The Elite grabbed a Plasma Pistol with his opposite hand and wielded the Sword. He charged a bolt and expelled it at a Brute and rooted his Sword into the sparks of his fur, it fell in a scream and the battle gave a victorious silence.
The Elites prevailed this battle but at a cost. 'Rahanammee tossed the Plasma Pistol away and ceded his Sword to its hilt. He looked over a ravaged heap of a Ghost and saw a Grunt body lying on his back. 'Rahanammee kneeled at the body and hailed this death to the Forerunners.
Although he never worked with Grunts he knew their stoat hearts were valorous when led by Elites.
"Extol their devotion, Lords" He said raising his arms to the dead Elites and Grunts. "Let them be admitted into your Divine Beyond!"
A moment of silence occurred and they raised their roars in praise as the shimmering gravity lifted them into the Marauder.
He felt a slash of floatation grab his limbs and drop him onto a wavy pool of the lift. The graphic green ripples splashed his feet and they stepped out of the pool with pride.
There were halls of Elites, Grunts, and Hunters that stopped to look at the Repent Leader he paused and nodded in a herd of his brothers. As he walked from the ramp and into the foyer, he saw a crimson Elite marked in symbols.
The Elite was shrouded in a veil like helmet covering his eyes. These were the Heretics that would bring justice to the universe
The End
