Chapter 1
At 10:00 at night in New Durham. Year- 2554
Arbiter, Rtas 'Vadum and Hona' cheked the hospital for Arbiters cousin Salu'. When they found him Arbiter told Hona' and Rtas to wait outside. "Hey Hona' looks like you've got yourself an admirer!"Rtas told Hona'
"hey she's pretty hot!" replied Hona' "Im gonna go ask if she wants to go to dinner with me sometime." Hona' walked over to the girl "So, erm...would you like to go to dinner with me sometime?" asked Hona'
"Yes, I've been waiting for you to say that since I saw you walk into the room!"replied the girl. "My name is Tusa' by the way. Meet me outside Restaruante' in an hour, do you know where that is?"
"yes, I know where that is,I guess I'll see you there then!" answered Hona'
"good! I'll see you there!" said Tusa'. Tusa then left the room to get ready for her date with Hona'.
"So how did it go?" asked Rtas.
"Very well, actually!" replied Hona' happily. Arbiter came back into the room and said
"Salu' is okay he just had a few brute spikes in his leg."
"Hey, Arbiter good news!" said Rtas "Hona' has a date in an hour.
"Well you better get ready then!" replied Arbiter.
They then went to Hona's apartment in long island and started to decide whether Hona' should wear something fancy for his date or whether he should just go to his date with what he was wearing now.Eventually they decided.
"Hona' why don't you just wear what you're wearing now and wear the specialised shoulder plates your uncle gave you. i mean the shoulder plates you have on now are for pilots right? Because your a pilot, but the other shoulder plates look truly special so you should wear them!" Arbiter said.
"So its settled then! I'll wear the specialised shoulder plates!" Hona' exclaimed
Chapter 2
"Will you marry me" asked Anth
"Oh Anth yes!" replied Salre "of course I'll marry you!"
"waiter, can we have a bottle of your finest strawberry champagne and the bill please!" the waiter came back a few minutes later.
"Here is a bottle of our finest strawberry champagne sir and the bill."
Anth paid the bill and gave the waiter a tip. "Now then, lets go home."
Anth and Salre went home and later that night they finished off the bottle of champagne together then soon after went to bed. In the morning they called everyone they knew and told them that they were engaged. "Hey Hona', me and Salre are engaged!" "thats great! I went on a date last night and it went really well, so good news all round!" "erm Hona' you didnt get drunk last night did you, 'cos you know it only takes one glass of wine to get you drunk"
"Well...erm...OK! I'll admit it, I got really drunk last night but..." (Tusa' speaks in the background, "Hona' who is it? Come back to bed honey!")Hona' speaks again "listen, Anth it's great that you and Salre got engaged but I really have to go."
Chapter 3
Wedding music *dum, dum, da dum, dum, dum, da dum, dum, dum, da dum, dum, dum, dum dum,da dum* "...and do you, Anth take Salre to be your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and in health?" "I do" replied Anth "and do you, Salre take Anth to be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health?"
"I do" replied Salre "then I now prenounce you husband and thing!"
"I'm sorry, What!" shouted Salre angrily
"I mean, I now prenounce you husband and wife!"
"thats better" said Salre. "You may now kiss the bride." So Anth and Salre kissed.
Later on at the reception. "So, Anth where are we going for our honeymoon?" asked Salre
"well, it's a surprise!" replied Anth. A few seconds later the priest came up behind Anth and Salre whilst they were talking and banged their heads together then they fell on the floor unconcious.
A few hours later Anth woke up in the church with Salre lying down unconcious next to him and the barrel of a gun pressed against his head. "Why?" Anth said to the priest almost crying. "Why! you want to know why!" the priest laughed. "It's because you two married, you are Human, she is Sangheili, it is not right!" Salre woke up.
"Huh! Anth, what happened?"
"well the priest kiddnapped us and I think he's going to kill us." replied Anth.
"Your right I am going to kill you two" said the priest, "I will cleanse your souls! Both of your will have two bullets fired in the back of your heads."
"Well honey, goodbye!" Salre cried "I love you!"
"I love you too Salre!"replied anth.
"Thats it, say your goodbyes!" Shouted the priest. Anth and Salre hugged then they heard a plasma rifle firing. The priest groaned before falling to the floor. "Sorry I missed the wedding!" Said Hona'
"Thanks Hona' you Saved our lives"
"I had to take Tusa' to the hospital" Hona' said.
"Oh. What happened?" Anth asked
"Well...She had an egg...and its mine and hers." replied Hona'
"OK, is that good news or bad?"Salre asked.
"oh, it's good! I can't wait to be a father when it hatches but my parents won't approve, no doubt they'll get angry because me and Tusa' aren't married." Answered Hona' "now then, Anth, where is it I have to fly you two ?"
"We're going to Paris in France" Anth said.
"Sounds romantic" Salre said.
Half a day later in paris. Anth looked at his watch, "wow!" Anth said "it's 8:00 already!"
"Right so I'll pick you two up in three days" Hona' said
"yeah" Anth said "we'll see you then. Bye!"
"Bye!" replied Hona'. Hona' then left in his seraph.
"Where should we go first?" Salre asked
"we could go to the restaurant at the Eiffel tower" Anth replied "I heard it's one of the best restaurants in Paris!"
"We'll go there then it sounds fabulous" Said Salre. Anth and Salre walked to the restaurant at the Eiffel tower. So, Salre, What are you going to have?" Asked Anth "I'm going to have the sirloin steak. What are you going to have?" said Salre
"I'm going to have the Gammon steak." After they finished their meal they took a taxi back to the hotel Anth had booked. Soon after they went to bed.
Chapter 4 - 'always something bad around the corner'
2nd day of Anth and Salre's honeymoon. Anth and Salre walked outside the hotel. "look over there, Brutes! Looks like we're going to have to cut the honeymoon short" said Anth
"awww, I hate brutes!" exclaimed Salre. "but at least we had fun last night" The brutes then spotted Anth and Salre.
"Do you know, it seems like every time something good happens to us there is always something bad around the corner!" said Anth
"yeah, I know" Salre said.
"Argh! Get them! Now!" shouted the brute chieftan. The brutes fired at Anth and Salre but missed.
"Anth we need to go back to the hotel, I have my carbine hidden under the bed. Anth and Salre hurried back to thier hotel room.
"It's in the newspaper about the brutes!" Anth said The newspaper read *Last night a covenant phantom crashed into the Eiffel tower! 52 civilians were hit when the phantom crashed and 14 were crushed by the top half of the Eiffel tower that fell down. Last year the Sangheili troops had told us that they had wiped out all of the covenant forces. My guess is that they missed one covenant phantom. There is only four Brutes, the chieftan, a grenadier, a sniper, and a spec-ops trooper.*
" I'll put on my combat armour, we'll try to get headshots so we don't have to fight them face-to-face!" Salre said. When she had put on her combat armour she activated her armours shielding and picked up her carbine. "I'm ready lets go!" Salre said.
When Anth and Salre got to where they saw the brutes they hid behind a short concrete wall. Salre activated the zoom function on her carbine and fired at the brute sniper. "headshot! One down three to go!" she whispered
"Argh! he's dead" said one of the brutes. Salre soon after got a headshot on two more brutes.
"Double kill!" Whispered Salre to Anth. "your a really good sniper, reminds me of when I was younger when I used to go paintballing." said Anth.
"Rargh!No! I'm the only one left!" the chieftan said sounding surprised. Salre fired at the chieftan.
"The chieftan has a shield! I'll have to give him all I've got!" Salre exclaimed.
She fired as fast as she could at the chieftans headress, his shield pack exploded and blew a chunk of his arm off. "Rargh! My arm!"shouted the brute. Salre fired one more time and the plasma round flew right through the chieftans head. "There, all dead!" Salre said happily.
"Great!" said Anth, "now we can get back to our honeymoon!"
Chapter 5 - part 1 - 3rd day of the honeymoon
3rd day of Anth and Salres honeymoon. Anth and Salre were in bed, "Anth, that was so good last night" said Salre "I felt so loved and Appreciated"
"Yeah, well that's because I love u so much" said Anth. Then Anth started kissing Salre.
"lets go to the pool" said Salre. "It looks lovely outside." After Anth had put his swimming trunks on and Salre had put her bathing suit on they jumped off the diving board. Just as they were jumping into the pool Hona' arrived. "Hey look, It's Hona'"
"Hi, you two." said Hona' "Had fun?"
"Yeah It's been great, the Eiffel tower got destroyed by some brutes so Salre took them out with her carbine." Said Anth "We'll leave as soon as we've had lunch. "
"well you better hurry then" said Hona' "It's four o'clock in the afternoon"
"Wow, we must have been in bed for ages!" said Anth "Salre lets get ready well be even more late for the table I booked."
Later at the restaurant, Anth and Salre got a table straight away because the place was empty. "Most has left their houses this morning because of the brute threat" said the Waiter. "I'm surprised you two have come outside."
"Well we know that there is nothing to worry about, we killed the brutes yesterday." said Salre
"Really, how?" asked the waiter.
"Well, she shot them all in the head" said Anth
"With what?" asked the waiter.
"My carbine" said Salre.
"Ok, you can have any table you want." said the waiter.
Anth and Salre Sat down at table number four and looked through the menu. "I'll have the twenty ounce rump steak" said Salre to the Waiter
"A fine choice madame" said the waiter as he wrote it down on a notepad. "And for you?"
"I'll have the gammon and fried eggs"
Outside the restuarant after they finished their dinner. "That, was the biggest steak I ever had" said Salre
Hona' arrived to pick them up."Get in guys" said Hona'. So Anth and Salre got into Hona's seraph and they went back home.
Chapter 5 - part 2 - looking for a bigger place
A few days after the honeymoon, Anth and Salre were lying in bed talking. "Do you think we should get a bigger place?" asked Anth
"But this place is big enough for the two of us" replied Salre
"Yeah but it's only a small apartment!" Said Anth "Why don't we get a big house with some land in the countryside?"
"Well I suppose we could get a bigger place." said Salre.
"We're just lucky no-one found out about us during the war" said Anth
"I remember the day when I met you, you were lying down unconcious in the corner of a room in ship called 'the tainted winter'" said Salre "My father was about to kill you then a ODST threw a combat knife that flew into the back of my fathers head"
"For some odd reason you picked me up and took me away from the gunfire."said Anth
"You had a sparkle in your eyes that I had never seen before" said Salre
"Then I asked if you were going to kill me" said Anth
"And I said no" said Salre. "For me it was like love at first sight."
"It's been 3 years since then, we were both eighteen." said Anth.
Anth and Salre searche the internet for a house in the countryside that they could afford. "This place is affordable" said Anth "Six acres of land, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, four hundred and sixty-one thousand."
"But we havn't got four hundred and sixty-one thousand!" said Salre
"I have, I've got six hundred thousand, started saving up money when the house prices started to rise." said Anth "We could easily buy it." They drove to the house in Anth's custom warthog to see if they actually liked the house.
"Wow! This place is huge!" said Salre "It even has a hot tub!"
"Do you want to buy it?" asked the salesman.
"Do you think we should get it Anth?" asked Salre.
"Yeah, this place is great we'll make an offer!" replied Anth
"How much would you like to offer?" asked the salesman
"four hundred and sixty-two thousand" said Anth.
Later at Anth and Salre's apartment the salesman called."You got the house" said the salesman.
"Oh!Yes! That's great!" Said Salre "Anth, we got the house!"
You can move in whenever you want, the owner moved out a week ago" siad the salesman.
"Great we'll move in right away!" said Salre. Anth and Salre then called the delivery men and they moved into their new house.
Chapter 5 - part 3 - the hatching
Anth and Salre are sitting in the hot tub in thier new house.
"Anth this house is amazing!" said Salre "this morning the fridge said have a nice day!"
"I know, the fridge told me what time it was before."
A few months later, Hona' called. "Hey, guys, come quick!" said Hona' "The doctor said the egg is going to hatch soon!"
Later that day at the hospital, "Look, honey it's hatching!" Tusa' said to Hona' "You can see the little cracks in the shell!"
"The cracks are getting bigger!" said Hona'. Then a part of the shell fell off and a little hand came through the hole.
"Oh! Look at the hand it's tiny!" said Tusa'. Then the little baby made the hole bigger using it's hands and eventually made a hole big enough to pop it's head through.
The baby then broke the rest of the shell and started banging it's hands on the table whilst laughing. "It's a boy!" said Hona'
Salre ran out of the room crying then Anth ran after her. "Salre, Wait!" said Anth "What's wrong!" Eventually Salre sat down in a empty roomand Anth sat down beside her.
"What's wrong?" asked Anth "Come on, you can tell me."
"It's just" *sniff sniff* "I'll never have that feeling" *sniff sniff* "Of when you have an egg and it hatches" *sniff sniff* "Because we most likely can't have children together" *sniff sniff*
"Because we're diffenrent species."
"Well you never know, we might be able to have children together" Said Anth "We'll start trying if you want to. Listen, we'll go see the doctor later he'll be able to tell us if we can have kids together or not."
"Ok, but I know he'll just say we can't" said Salre.
A few minutes later in the doctor's office. "Can we have kids together?" asked Anth. "Well I'll just tell it to you straight..." Salre then butted in.
"See, he's going to say no!" she started to cry again.
"Actually, yes you can, it's happened before with two people in the military. I am not allowed to say who but the man was sangheili and the woman was human." said the doctor.
"So, we can have children?" said Salre
"Yes" said the doctor
"Yes...Yes!" Salre shouted, then she hugged the doctor.
"Thank you" said Salre
"Thanks" said Anth
Anth and Salre then left the room and went back to the room where Hona', Tusa' and thier baby where.
"Salre, have you been crying?" asked Hona'.
"Yes" said Salre.
"Why?"asked Tusa'
"Well, seeing your egg hatch made me want to have a egg with Anth but I thought we couldn't " said Salre " So Anth took me to the doctors office to ask if we could have a egg together."
"and!" said Hona'
"We can!" said Salre happily
"That's great for you guys, I'm so happy for you!" said Hona'
"So what did you call your baby?" asked Anth
"Redu" said Tusa'.
"Redu suits him perfectly" said Salre.
