Halo 2: Part 1, Taking Over

As Master Chief was lifted up the by the elevator he couldn't help but regret leaving Captain Keyes on the Autumn.
"Cortana, are we above California?"
"Yes we are, but do you want me to tell Team Zulu and Alpha?"
Just as he was about to reply Team Zulu broke through.
"Master Chief can you hear me?"
"The Covenant are breaking through the barrier. They're cutting right through with some new type of weapon. It's like a mix between the plasma rifle and needler. We ca….stop….breakin….AGG……HHHHH….."
The frequency went dead.
"Master Chief Team Zulu and Alpha have just disappeared."
The Master Chief felt anger and pity. Those were good soldiers and he may not have known them well, but still those Covenant bastards didn't have to kill them. Why do they want to kill us? He may never know. And what was that new weapon that Sergeant Jones was describing. What a great time for Covenant to be creating new weapons.
"Cortana, new coordinates set for 186:985."
"Ay ay Chief, coordinates set. Ahhh I see you're going to try and land on that Carrier?"
"Yes, that's the idea. My plan is to breach the hull as it fires its turrets. That will give me time to breach. Because from past experiences the shields drop when it fires. I will get inside and have you take control of the ship. Fly us down to the Earth and take us to New York City."
As Master Chief walked inside the cargo bay he immediately went to the Emergency Vacuum Switch. He waited until the Cruiser got within the estimated coordinates. Then he pulled the switch. The vacuum was rushing air out of the bay. Master Chief inched his way to the ledge and jumped. The vacuum of space pulled the Chief out of the bay and into space. Falling his way to the Cruiser. He was 200 meters away when the Cruiser fired its turrets.
"Not good. Cortana, how much farther until we reach the shields."
"You have 135 meters, don't worry Chief I've already hacked the firing installation. Causing turrets to fire into space, this will allow you to get on board. But I can only do this for a short period of time. Chief you have 75 meters and closing."
The Master Chief could see the shields drop. Just then he hit the hull. He took a frag grenade and a piece of tape and stuck the taped grenade to the hull. The Master Chief pulled the pin and ran several meters to where the Cruisers hull dipped. The Chief didn't have to wait long before he felt the rumble of air being ripped out from the inside. That was his cue. He ran back to the gaping hole and lowered himself in.
"Chief plug me in that panel."
The Chief did as she said. He found the slot. It was about the size of his thumb.
"Hmmm, this is….familiar. Strange, the Covenant uses the same type of structural code in all their A.I. None of them are different. Well the name of this ship is Vital Reconciliation. The Truth and Reconciliation's sister."
The Chief paused.
"O.K. is that good?"
"Chief don't be smart. I am setting up a nave point this will lead you to the bridge.
The Chief pulled Cortana out of the slot and put her in his suits outlet. He started his way up the ramp. When he turned the corner he bumped into a grunt. The grunt screamed but not even one second after it screamed Master Chief put two bullets into its head. After the grunt fell to the ground its methane tank started hissing out methane. The Chief looked around the corner to make sure there weren't anymore Covenant. He was glad he did 'cause two elites, three grunts, and four jackals. He went back to the dead grunt took three plasma grenades. He threw the first one on the red armored Elite. He ran into the pack of jackals and killed all of them and the second Elite. The Master Chief ran in and killed the other three grunts with only 11 shots. It was a bloody mess with alien body parts everywhere. The Chief was just outside of the doors to the bridge when he heard the sound of scraping metal. He knew it was only one thing…. Hunters.
"Cortana can you gain access to the Cruiser?"
"Yes…..I'm in. Chief there are two Hunters."
The Chief ran in shot the first Hunter he saw in the head. The Hunter got very pissed by this gesture. He raised his plasma cannon and fired while at the same time the other Hunter charged Master Chief. Either the first hunter is very dumb or the second one is, it doesn't make a difference. The Chief dodged the melee attack very easily and the Hunter got shot in the back and blown in half. The Chief went from green to orange.
"How do I kill this thing!"
"Do you see the orange spot on his back?"
"Yes!"
"Shoot it!"
The Chief jumped up and over the Hunter and wasted 40 rounds into the back of the Hunter. The Hunter had a basketball size hole for a stomach. It fell over. He uploaded Cortana into the net.
"Let's go to New York City."

Halo 2 Part 2, Cornered
"Master Chief?"
The Master Chief returned from his deep thought. He paused only for a quick second. He knew Cortana would be able to catch his doubt.
"I was just thinking if the rest of Blue Team has made it back to Earth yet. That's all."
"No, there's more to it. Come on I am an A.I. I know exactly what you are thinking."
"I--."
Just then a distress signal came.
"We….need….right…..any...one...reading me?"
"Yes, what is you're coordinates?"
The soldier was breaking up.
"Cortana get this fixed. Quickly."
"Yes Chief."
Cortana waited a few seconds. Then the soldier got through clearly. Gunshots and explosions were happening every second.
"I repeat, anyone reading me?"
"Yes soldier, to whom am I speaking to?"
"Spartan Walker Ma'am."
The Chief froze.
"This is amazing." The Chief thought.
"This is Petty Officer Master Chief, how may we help you."
"We need backup. The Covenant are attempting to overtake this bunker."
"Don't worry Spartan, assistance is on the way. What is you're position?"
"We are located at Miami, sir."
Walker barely dodged that plasma blast.
"Dago where's that rocket launcher!"
Soldier Dago was fumbling around with the rocket launcher trying to get it loaded. Walker was to busy driving the warthog to do it himself. It's a good thing he took the 4-wheeler. Especially the one with the gunner. He had to transport five 'hogs carrying the soldiers. Walker has a sense of knowing what is going to happen. Like having a gut feeling that a Covenant platoon would be charging the encampment. And knowing that these men and women, counting soldiers Jennifer Sel, Rachel Bine, Micah Bihn. Walker and these soldiers had to get to Miami to rendezvous with the Chief. He had gotten a call from sergeant Pil that the main Miami UNSC bunker was under attack.
"Dago," Walker said smoothly dodging trees and then speeding out into an open field, "Got those rockets ready?"
"Yes sir!" Dago was trying his hardest to yell over the engine of the six 'hogs and the winding sound of the banshees. "Loaded and ready to blast some birds! Yeah!"
"Well then what are you waiting for? Start shooting!"
Cortana and Master Chief were almost to the location where Walker called in.
"Chief contacting Walker."
"Yes," In the background you could hear rockets going off and the occasional "Oh yeah!"
"Tell you're men to hold there fire. Me and the Master Chief are 9 miles from you're position."
"O.K."
Chief went to armory to grab some ammunition and weapons. Cortana searched her memory banks and recent chatter on the Covenant com channel for information on the flood.
"Oh my gosh. The flood has made it out. They are currently held on the Speed of Power." Cortana thought.
"Chief?"
"Yes?"
"Some of the flood has made it off Halo. They are currently on a ship Speed of Power. Chatter indicates that they have crashed the ship on an outer moon in the Epsilon Eridani system."
"Oh…."
"Never mind we have reached the position."
Walker had just reached the base when immediately he was under attack.
"Corporal! I have soldiers to help fight!" Walker yelled over gunfire.
"Good! Bring them inside if they need to stock up!"
Walker gave the hand signal and everyone ran inside. At that same time Master Chief ran through the brush on the other side. Walker placed two fingers on the place his mouth would be. He motioned the Master Chief inside. The Chief ran.
"O.K. everyone get ready you got ten seconds stock up, grab something, and get out there and show them how humans fight!"
Everyone ran outside shots fired everywhere. Covenant drop ships and Shadows dropping a grunt or elite every second. Men were blowing up crowds of Covenant. Jennifer was a very good sniper she was dropping elites like they were flies. Rachel had picked up a fallen hunters weapon and was firing plasma bombs everywhere. Micah was covering an injured marine. The Chief and Walker were covering each others backs. Every motion was fluid. Then brutes started swarming the whole area.
The Chief spoke first, "Great. Ready?"
"You know I am."
The Chief ran up to a ridge and started firing his rifle while Walker came up behind him and fired his rocket launcher. Hundreds of soldiers were firing their weapons while more and more Covenant kept swarming in. then it stopped. No more Covenant. Then out of nowhere they came. Elites poured out of the city.
