Appocalypse Sector 1-The First Strike
0800 hours-Longsword Alpha, Around Mt. Everest, Granite Peak
There was a harsh, cold wind around the mountain peak as Longsword Alpha soared overhead. It was making its routine recon. search for straggling enemy Covenant from the previous invasion. "Longsword Alpha to Gamma Base, Gamma Base do u read me? Over." "I can barely hear you, Marcus, over this static," said a Gamma Base crewman Flint Cosa. "Well try to hear this!" Marcus Ding shouted in his mic. "I just spotted a downed Seraph Fighter at the edge of the Halsey cliff. There might be survivors. I suggest a search and rescue team to check it out. Over." "Ok. I'm sending the message to C-3 Omega mountain base right now. They say they'll have a team there in one hour. Over and out." Marcus switched off his mic. and was just about to do a one-eighty back the way he came when something caught his eye. A sickish blue color suddenly erupted from near the nose of the Seraph and struck the longsword in its hull, doing quad-damge to it. The longsword lurched, caught fire, and was sent crashing to Earth. And the last thing Marcus saw before he was burnt to a crisp, was ten Covenant Elites, dancing like maniacs at the fact there was one less human in the galaxy.
"Marcus? Marcus?!?" cried Flint as he lost signal of Longsword Alpha. "C-3 Omega mountain base come in! C-3 Omega mountain base come in! Over." "Copy Gamma Base this is Omega mountain base C-3. Over." "Yeah, I need another search and rescue team in the Halsey cliff area again. I just lost Longsword Alpha's signal. Over." "No way! I just sent out a search and rescue tam. Thay were only out for five minutes when we lost their signal." "I don't care! That was are best fighter! You've got to send out a S.A.R team now." "I told you, i cannot send another team to look for them, over and out." Flint swore over his PC, and wondered if Marcus was alright, but before he had time to come to a conclusion, there was a loud bang as fifty Covenant Elites pblasted awy the door to the communication bay and killed every last human. As Flint layed in the battle torn room, he wondered what was going on, what happened to Marcus, where was Master Cheif?
"Good job men!" said the Grand Elite Ako 'Andersonee, as the fifty some elites surveyed the room for survivors. "We struck quick and hard, they didn't know what hit them!" The elites cheered at their victory went to work finding out the identities of each human, taking their identities, and taking positions at the computer located around the circular room. "Establish a link to the A.I Cortana. It should be in a place called Tampa Bay, Florida. And try to sound human for once!" 'Andersonee exclaimed to the red and blue armored elites, since he was black armored he ranked highest, a special-ops elite. "We have communication," one elite said. "Good," 'Andersonee said, "Set the trap."
"Master Cheif? Master cheif, wake up!" boomed the Cortanas voice from the A.I pedastal beside the bed that John-117 was sleeping on. "What?!?" he said, annoyed since that was the first good sleep he'd gotten in years. He was staying at the UNSC marines inn at Tampa Bay, Florida. "I just got message from Gamma Base in London. They said they had a freelancing job for you about the Covenant. They wouldn't say what though." "Tell 'em i'll take it!" he said, half amused that there still was Covenant on Earth. It had been along time since he'd killed any. "Well you better hurry before they give th job to to a mercenary," Cortana said half joking, half serious. Master Cheif stepped into his MJOLNIR armor, buckled all its parts together, and stepped outside into warm, gentle breezes outside. He ran with astonishing speed to his longsword parked on the beach, got into the pilots seat, and buckled up. The longsword tilted as he hovered over the beach for a minute, then was out of site. Somewhere over the Atlantic.
"Master. They are coming!" said the elite who first established contact with the A.I. "Good," 'Andersonee said. "Then the trap is set! Get ready. Iwant him dead the secon he walks through th door so I can collect my gold armor and hopefully you all can rank up to the level i'm at now. Black armore, special-ops." Some of the red armored elites started laughed at the reamrk of them ever getting a higher rank from a prophet, but knew better. 'Andersonee could kill everyone of them in the room, plus he was a great leader. "The'yre here!" one of the elites at a computer said. "Great!" 'Andersonee said. "Get in position!" Master Cheif flipped the hover switch on the longsword, hanged in midair for 5 seconds, then landed. He exited through the hatch in it's back, and walked up to the door of the circular building. The building was an abandoned printing shop, and due to the wreckage of every other building in London from the thirteen missles that hit 1 year ago during the first attack, this was HQ. He apened the door and walked inside. The floors were littered with paper, and the walls and ceiling was scorched from fires. He made his way up a winding staircase and onto a landing. Ever since he landed the longsword, he had an ominous feeling. And when he reached the landing the feeling was explained. In the middle of the circular room was fifty some elites, which all opened fire with plasma rifles. Now, all of a sudden, he was in the fight for his life

Sector2-Retaliation
The Master Cheif was in a tight spot. He was being attacked by fifty elites, all having plasma pistols, and he didn't have a single gun, thinking that Gamma Base was going to supply weapons for him. He remembered the karate and jujitsu he once learned in the training camps on Reach, and put them to work. He flipped the first door laying ont he ground with his foot and used it as a sheild. He then kicked the second door on the ground so hard it flew straight through the crowd, killing five elites. The Master Cheif rolled left into the hall, jumped up, and luckily ended up in front of a prised weapon cabinet. He cracked open the cabinet with his elbow, grabbed 2 SMG and some ammo, and loaded it just in time to see ten elites sprint through the door. He switched of the safety and smoked all of the elites before they could even open fire. He ran over to the dead bodies, switched one SMG for a plasma rifle, and picked up 4 plasma grnades. He rolled into the circular room and opened fire. Do to the seemingly endless barrage of plasma and bullet fire, the elites were cut down by twos, threes, and fours. There was about ten more elies left. All red armored except for one. One in black armor, possibly the leader. Most likely the leader, actually. John-117 emptied the last of his ammunition into four elites, killing them. The remaining elites advancen slowly, raising their rifles on the way. Their was a quick moment of panic in the Master Cheifs mind, when he remembered the four plasma grenades in the ammo holder around his waist. He pulled out one and ignited it. Sufficent to kill the last remaining six elites, or so he thaught. Bacause when he left the building, arguing with cortana on the way out over how she didn't know that was an elite talking to her in the inn, one last elite, the black armored one, coughed up a pound of blood. 'Andersonee slowly raised his head, then his entire body. He surveyed his body. He had three bullet holes in his chest, about thirteen plasma burns in multiple spots on his body, and an layer of armor was burnt off his right side from the plasma grenade. He looked at all the dead elites sprawled dead on the ground, and not a single one got a shot off on the cyborg. He walked slowy out of the room, one leg shaking furiously, down the stairs, and out the door. He could see beyond the horizon, a single longsword fighter flying back the way it came. 'Andersonee connected a link with the covenant cruiser that was currently docked on the artificial moon orbiting Earth's surface. "'Feild Master 'Andersonee to Ship Master 'Oporkree, I need lift from battleground: London as quick as possible. All of my men are DIA and the super-human is still alive, heading bback to his previous station. "I suggest a shadow come to pick me up on the double." "Ship Master 'Oporkree speaking, a shadow is on its way to pick you up in 2 units. Over and out."
0100 hours, Tampa Bay, Florida-UNSC Marines INN
It was an hour later when the Master Cheif lande the logsword fighter back on the beach where it was parked just two hours before. Things in the city were hectic. When he arrived the UNSC Inn, the entire city was a warground. Buildings were on fire, people lay dead on the ground, and there were Seraph fighters fighting longsword fighters a hundred feet above the beach. "Apparently the covenant wanted to catch and kill you by the time you got back on the count you killed so much of their warriors at Gamma Base," Cortana told him through his neural implants. "A retalliation strike," the Cheif said, running in the Inn to grab some weapons, "Should have known." He came back out two minutes later with a battle rifle and two SMGs as his sidearm. As he walked out the door he blasted away two jackals with three shots from the SMGs each, and killed a grunt with a blow from his elbow. He ran abot 40 feet when he found a small, blue car parked in the middle of the street with plasma burns on the dead driver. He shoved out the corpse, started up the car, and floored it. He made it all the way up to the Admiral's Bridge 3 miles away when the bridge was struck by a plasma mislle and destroyed. The car was going way to fast to stop before it hit the edge, so he opened up the door and jumped. He hit the rod with a thump and rolled about 10 meters before stopping. The car however tumbled off the gap in the bridge and fell into the ocean below. The Cheif straightened up to find about five covenant cruisers hovering right above his head, each fireing plasma missles from the bow of the ship. Not only that, but what looked like three human Halycon class A ships trying to fight of all the ships, but whenever they destroyed one, the gap was just filled by another ship. "So, Cortana, have plan?" the Master Cheif asked, watching a Covenant destroyer fall to Earth. "Or do you even have one?" "There is one," she said her voice quickly risisng. "But it may be a bit dangerous." "What is it?" Master Cheif asked anxiously. "The plan is to take control of a lead cruiser and lead the fight to another location...without getting blown up by our own ships," she said warningly. "Where would we lead them?" The cheif asked curiously,"and how will we board one?" "Easy," Cortana said obviously."Remember the transportation grid on Halo's surface that let us get into the Truth and Reconciliation?" "Yes," the Cheif replied, he had a feeling he wasn't going to like this. "Well, the UNSC has done the same for Earth. Modeled after the grid on Halo.Right now the grid is only linked to the western hemisphere, so i can only use it here." "Fine, use it," The Cheif said, getting out his battle rifle. There was a single blue sphere that engulfed his entire body, and sent his mind into nothingness. He was traveling for a long time until he finally landed inside the docking bay, and had the element of surprise on all of the enemies. He was on the top level of the docking bay, and had a battle rifle in hand. He mounted the rifle on his knee, put on the 2x scope and locked target onto a gold armored elite in the middle of closing the bay hatches. The cheif steddied the rifle and pulled the trigger. There was a cry of pain as the elites head was split in two, and every single Covenant in the room looked for the sniper. The Cheif had already dropped five more elites and a hunter before a wide eyed grunt spotted him. But before the Covenant could make it all the way up to the top level, the doors were barred with pipes and wires the Master Cheif had pulled out the walls of the ship, and made his way through the next door. He made his way through the corridors of the ship and found the door that led into the bridge. He quickly pulled out his sidearms and went through the door. All the fifteen grunts, six elites, and two hunters were dead before he was noticed. The ship master looked at him for a split second, and his chest was ripped apart by a hundred bullets. He made his way to the controls and let Cortana take control from there. "Veiwing coordinates for this sector of the ship," Cortana said. "Bringing in reinforcements." There was a series of blue spheres and flashes, and fifteen confused looking marines appeared all around the bridge. "Don't worry," Cortana said to the marines."All you need to do is protect the bridge of this ship. No prisoners. Got it?" "Mam, yes, mam!" all the marines replied. There was a lurch in the Cheif's stomach as the cruiser gained speed and made its way forward. "I'm leading the ships to a reef of destroyed Covenant and human ships in the Pacific," Cortana said, and from there the fight will continue. The cheif reloaded his weapons and started piling dead bodies and debries against the doors leading into the bridge. "There's about fifty cruisers and destroyers orbiting earth right now. They're getting ready for anothr invasin!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. "Well then we'll have to fight them. There's no stopping them," John said, setting down on the ramp leading to the controls. He heardmultiple plasma fire and pounding on the doors. The Covenant wanted through, and they wanted him dead. They REALLY wanted him dead.

Sector 3-"Lost Souls Reaf"
Since the time they took off to the time they made it to the reaf, the marines and the Cheif had faught six fights. One with twelve Grunts and a squad of Jackals. The second against six Elites. The third against three Elites and three Jackals. And the last three against two Hunters each. When the ship arrived at the reaf six of the fifteen marines had been killed. "Ok," Cortana told the surviving humans, "we need to make our way down to the docking bay and hopefully steal a shadow without loosing anymore survivors." They made their way through the halls until they made it to the top level of the bay, where they met two Hunters. They were able two slaughter the Hunters(who had their backs turned to the door) without any casualties. Three of the nine marines were armed with sniper rifles, which stayed on the top level of the bay to watch the rest of the marines and the Spartan. The rest of the group made their way down ramps and halls, fighting small groups of Grunts and Jackals along the way. They made their way through the last door and into the vehicular part of the bay. Right when they went through the door multiple firefights broke out, but the humans won shortly afterwards, all thanks to the snipers on the top level. "Ok, get the shadow and pick up the snipers." Cortana said, but as soon as the words left her mouth both hatches on the top level were knocked down, reveiling a Brute each in both doorways. The snipers killed the Brutes(only after getting hit by a fireball from the Brutes' Ginsu 9000.) The shadow hovered to where the snipers were, picked them up, and flew the craft out the hatches of the ship.
The humans were able to escape via a shadow, and land it safely in one of the three superstrong Halycon calss ships without getting hurt. The two lower rankeing ships and the higher ranking ships, the Newgrounds, was now able to do what they wanted, and fire what they needed to destroy the Covenant ships without putting any civillians at risk. Now being able to use their powerful MAC guns the cruisers and destroyers were dwindling at an exponential rate until there was only three left. The humans and Covenant had taken the fight down to the ocean onto the reaf of destroyed ships, where a furious battle raged and raged, both sides killing without mercy.
A demo soldier by the name of Pierre' Defacto made his way in a warthog down a class seven corridor to the shuttle bay where the pelicans were kept. "Already?" asked the pelican pilot Len Farly. "Of course." Pierre' lied. He was actually scared to kill himself, which was his job, to kill himself. He climbed into the pelican and settled himself in. He made sure the bombs attached to his chest plate and back were secure before relaxing. The pelican, Vector 167, took off from the ship and made its way to the first enemy ship. The only way it made it there though was thanks to the longswords protecting them from fire from the Seraph fighters. "Ok. We're here. Hit it!" Pierre' jumped out of the pelican and into the Covenant shuttle bay, getting fired upon as he made his way to the parked wraith tanks. Pierre' was a tough, bulky man, and was able to carry two rocket launchers at a time. He wiped out all forces in the area in twenty seconds, and proceeded with the plan. Ha tossed the spent launchers and attached three of the high powered bombs to the wraiths. "Ok. Done. I need evac. now." Pierre' told Len in his mic. "Got it, be there in five." she said and switched off the mic. Pierre'readied himself for another fight by picking up a plasma rifle, but as soon as he picked it up it was blown free of his hands. "A sniper!" Pierre' yelled, but was run short of breath as the enemie's sniper rifle shot him in the chest, sending him hurling out the shuttle bay, and into the raging sea below.
Pierre' opened his eyes with extreme difficulty, but closed them after seeing what he saw. He had been swept out of the raging waters and onto the remains of destroyed ships. He was bleeding from head to toe, and had a metal stake in his knee. He remembered his mission and dug his hand into his pocket. He found the detonater and pulled the trigger. In the Covenant ship about two-hundred feet above his head, a series of explosions went off in the docking bays, destabilizing the ship, sending it crashing. Pierre' layed on the ground for about a minute before a dropship of Elites came to investigate the area around the crash. They spotted the lone human on the debris and landed the craft. Four Elites came out and checked the humans pulse. "Hardly a pulse," a blue armored Elite said,"we can't take him hostage, he's about to die. Kill him." One of the Elites had just raised his rifle when Pierre' croaked out," No I am very valuable to the UNSC! Keep me alive and I can give you information about..our defensive plans! Let me live!" The answer from the blue armored Elite came straight away,"'Ikaporamee, give him some water and load him onto the dropship, on the double!" "Yes, sir!" the blue armored Elite, 'Ikaporamee exclaimed, feeding the human water and then led him to the ship. Pierre' let out a sigh of releif. His trick had worked.
About an hour later, Pierre' was dropped off on what the named the Alpha Ship. From what he heard, this ship powered the energy source for the over sheilds of the ships at Lost Soul's Reaf. This was going to be good. He was walking for five minutes, gaurded by three black armored Elites, until he reached the so called bridge of the ship. "Let us get right down the buisness," the gold armored Ship Master said,"tell me everything. Everything!" "Well," Pierre' said," I will on one condition." "And whats that?" the Ship Master asked, annoyed. "First, you tell me everything. Thats the only way I'll tell you what you need to know." "FINE!" the ship master roared, "I'll tell you our defense plans, but thats all!" Pierre' rubbed the side of his helmet against his shoulder, "Sorry, had an itch." That was what Pierre' said, but that's not what happened. What he did was rubed the side of his helmet on his shoulder, not to itch it, but he flipped the power switch on his helmet which turned on the recorder attached to it. "Fine, now lets begin..." The talk went on for an hour, and communications crewman aboard the Newgrounds were listening to every word of it.
"We've got it." communications crewman Clark Hunt said jaw droppingly."We've actually got it! We've got the Covenant battle plans!" "I know! I know...but then...PIERRE'! He's going through with the plan!" another crewman said."He's doing it! I can't beleive it!No..."
"Now you know our plan war tactics," the Ship Master said. "Now tell us yours!" "Thanks," Pierre' said,"but i'm not telling you. you shouldn't know! You just betrayed your allies! You gave us your plans! You don't deserve these plans. You deserve to die!" and with that said he pulled the detonater out of his pocket and pulled the trigger.
Thirteen bombs all strapped to Pierre's chest went off in the bridge, and the ship fell in a hellish fire. The thirty some other ships all lost their over sheilds simultaniously, and were taken out by about forty Archer missles. The battle was over, and all the ships left the reaf.

Sector 4-Area 51
Two longsword fighters lifted off the runway as a salvo of plasma missles hit the plateus and mesas surrounding the dry lake bed/militery base called "Area 51". Ever since the battle at Tampa had started, the Covenant had started attacking all top notch military bases they could find, in hopes of destroying any morale the marines might have. The Covenant's plan had worked. More effective than they thaught it would. Just three days before, the UNSC ship that the President of the USA had been on was attacked by two Covenant frigates. The ship never really had a chance, since the two ships just appeared right out of Slipstream and started attacking. The president was killed, and the marines were awestruck. But, since the victory at the Lost Souls Reef, their morale had skyrocketed, and the marines were back to their normal, badass standards. But since the president was killed, Vice Admiral Jason Hunt was put in charge of the military and Area 51. "Biggs, I thaught I told you to send out those scorpions!" Admiral Hunt barked into his radio at Commander Biggs of the heavy artillary section of the base. "Sorry, admiral, but we were just ambushed by another wave of banshees. I'm sending the tanks out as we speak. Those wraiths wont know what hit 'em! Commander Biggs, over and out." Admiral Hunt turned off the radio and closed his eyes. Twelve Covenant tanks, named wraiths, at started attacking the Titanium-B walls surrounding the base. A couple of blasts from a charged plasma pistol wouldn't burn through it, but a dozen giant plasma balls being hurtled at the wall at once could be devastating. The admiral had been awake for two days straight, and was just falling into a deep sleep(despite the constant sound of plama rifles and sniper rifles firing at each other) when he heard something. It was like an ear splitting roar, followed by a bang and crash! The admiral ran out of the underground bunker he was staying in an looked at the carnage made by the tanks. The MBT scorpions had destroyed seven of the twelve wraiths, and the remaining Covenant tanks had burned down the security wall. The admiral swore as five wraiths filed into the base, launcing fire-balls as they came. "NO!" he yelled, just as a plasma ball was hurled at the bunker. He tried to move, but he was too scared. he tried to fire, but his hands hands wouldn't move. He tried to scream, but his lungs wouldn't let him.
The Master Cheif made his way into the bridge of the NewGrounds, where Captain Lance Gryffin was standing in front of the tactical data display. "Captain." Cortana told him from the AI pedistal beside the display. The captain turned away from the screen an gestured at the Master Cheif. "Hello John, thanks for coming on such short notice. Twenty minutes ago we intercepted a distress call from Area 51 to the UNSC marines' mountain base in West Virginia. The call was clear." he stepped out of the way of the screen so the cheif could see three large, bold letters. "SOS. You know what's needed Master Cheif take Cortana with you to docking bay two. There will be one pelican there with six other marines. Be careful." He powered down the pedistal ad handed the AI chip to the Master Cheif. He accepted the chip and inserted it into the slots in his helmet."Don't worry. I will." He exited the bridge at top speed. He didn't stop until he was on the pelican, surrounded by six true-blue marines.
The maines looked up into the sky to see one pelican hovering about twenty feet above the dry lake floor, and started descending into the battle ground. The pelicn landed and seven soldiers stepped out onto the ground. There was three snipers. two demo specialists, one regular ground assault marine, and a large soldier that looked like he came straight from Greek mythology. It was a Spartan! She had heard so much about the Master Cheif's heroic acts, but never thaught she'd ever see one. The marine lay on the dusty ground, blood was oozing from her mouth, and she had three plasma burns to her side. Marines started surrounding the Spartan, keeping a tigh grip on their weapons. The Master Cheif lowered his hand to the marine on the ground. She curled into a ball and shook her head, saying "No, not yet. Don't take me now! Let me die in battle." John pulled back his hand and spoke,"Fear not; I am the first, and I am the last. I am a Spartan. Take my hand." He stuck out his hand again, and this time she took it, and pulled up. The Master Cheif examined the remaining marines. Forty out of hundreds were still alive. "Who's in charge here?" he asked one marine holding a rocket launcher. "Well," he said,"I don't know. It was Vice Admiral Hunt, but he was killed by a wraith just a couple hours ago." The marine stopped there, and bowed his head. The Master Cheif looked at all of the burnt walls, and the dead bodies of humans and Covenant alike sprawld on the ground. "What did this?" he asked the same marine with the rocket launcher. "A downed Covenant destroyer," he told him, pointing down south, "It used its plasma missles to melt most of the walls to let a ton of Covenant in." "Ok," John directed to all of the marines,"all of you get into the pelican. If it's full, find another one and get a pilot. We're going to fight that ship." All the marines saluted and got into a pelican. They were already to save some lives, or loose their own trying.

Sector5-Fight or Flight
Six Pelicans roared to life and forty-three marines plus one Spartan got into a Pelican. They started to rise (some bellowed smoke from their hover-pads) and smoothly started to glide over the sandy plains, rocky plateus, and smooth mesas. They had been flying for at least a mile when an emergency alarm went off in the cockpit of the Pellican. "Cheif," said their pilot, Anna Maybe, in a panicy voice,"we're under attack by six grunts, six Jackals, one Elite, and one, no, make that two Hunters." "Where are they?" the Master Cheif asked, raising his assault rifle at the same time. "They are on the small mesa just left to us. Orders?" The Master Cheif thaught for three seconds before saying,"land us. All we need is an extra Pelican of troops and we'll be ready." "Yes sir! Contacting Vector 349 right now. We're going in!" As the Pelican started to lose altitude, it was shaken by multiple fuel blasts from the Hunters' fuel rod guns. The two Pelicans stopped and the marines and the 16 marines and one SPARTAN hopped out, all wanting to kick some Covie @$$. Two marine went down instantly after being hit by a barrage of plasma fire. The MasterCheif surveyed his enemies and found a startiling discovery. There was one Elite there, black armored and armed with two fuel rod guns. He could barely make out the difference between two Elites, but this time it was diffirent. The black armored Elite that was standing just five feet away from him, WAS the same one that he had KILLED in London at the UNSC HQ. How he was still alive was uncertain, but he knew he had to die. He quickly used his common since two aim his firs couple or rounds at the Elites fuel rod guns. He opened fire, and the first gun started two smoke. The Elite noticed this, and tossed it away right before it exploded into a hundered little peices, leaving a large hole in the ground. H aimed his second gun and fired twice at the MasterCheif. He rolled, dodgeing the first shot, but getting hit square in the pelvis by the next one. His sheilds took most of the blow, leaving four bars of health left when he got back up. He raised his assault rifle level with the next gun and fired four rounds. The rounds tore into the gun, once again making it smoke. But he had caught the Elite off gaurd this time. He tried to dispose of the fuel rod gun before it exploded, but it was too late. It exploded with a bang, brutaly blowing off the Elite's right arm. The Elite let out a howl, but didn't stop. He raised his left arm and produced an energy sword, strong enough to kill a Brute. the cheif pulled out his sidearm and fired at the Elite's head. The Elite raised his left arm level with his head, and let his triceps take the blow. The Elite pointed the sword at the Cheifs chest and charged. John started to run, but knew he wouldn't escape alive.
'Andersonee's energy sword impacted with the cyborg's chest, cutting through every layer of armor, skin, bone, and out the back. He heard the humans spinal cord snap, and knew it was over. He had completed his mission. The one responsible for thousands upon thousands of Covenant casualties had just been neutralized. His job was done. He retracted the beam of light from his chest, and flicked it off. The cyborg stood for a moment before falling to the ground, blood oozing from his chest. 'Andersonee was about to gesture for all of his comrades to get back to the dropships when he noticed something that was very, very wrong. Every one of his fellow soldiers were on the ground...dead! He had just whitnessed the last Hunter fall to the ground when the other humans finally noticed him. He had enough time to say the 'Prophets Prayer' before he was blasted backwards by a hundred bullets, tumbling down and down of the thirty foot mesa.
The other four Pelicans glided over head just as the other marines loaded the MasterCheif into their Pelican. "SilverHawk to Vector349 and 348. We planteed three nuclear bombs inside of the destroyer. We have to get outta here right now!" "Ok! Everyone get in! we have got-"Anna checked with SilverHawk,"four minutes to get out of here! C'mon!" She didn't wait a second longer. The last three marines carrying the MasterCheif hopped aboard just as the Pelican lifted off the ground, and with full force, accelerated towards the North. They cleared a full twenty miles when the three bombs went off, clearly visible in the sunny day. The marines checked the masterCheif. He was shaking uncontrolably, and was very cold. "He's goin' into shock," one of the marines yelled. John managed to open one of his eyes with extreme difficulty. the marines were crouching over him, all wide eyed and pale. That was the last thing he saw before he lost track of his mind, and slipped into a coma.

Sector6-Apocalypse*
The Chief was walking through a city, high skyscrapers, electric powered cars speeding past him, screaming civilians screaming, stepping over eac other to get to a train. They were running...From what? He started walking faster. His body felt lighter, somehow. He looked at his own torso. His MOJOLNIR armor was gone, replaced by a blood red pair of shorts and shirt. The screaming stopped. He stopped. Everything stopped for a moment. Then...There was a ringing in his ears, and then a vaccum filled the city. He looked into the sky and saw what had started the comotion. A giant Covenant Cruiser filled the horizon. Places in its hull were opening, filling up with red lights. He had enough time to identify what was about to happen when the plasma bombardements were launched towards the city, glassing it. He stood his ground though. He was protected...By what? His body started to float, rising towards the moon. His head started to hurt and he doubled over in the sky. Everything was cold now, he thaught he had been infected by the Flood or something like that, but couldn't think anymore because of...Something? He didn't know. Now he knew. Something happened. something bad. As he tried to remember, everything started to swirl, and he woke up.
He was somewhere, somewhere...Big. At first he thaught he was in the Pillar of Autumn, but quickly remembered of how he blew it up to destroy Halo. Now he knew. He was in the New Grounds, the ship he was on earlier. How'd he get there? What happened? His questions were answered as a voice piped up from the back of the room he was in. "Oh! Your awake, finally!" He looked around and saw Cortana gliding towards him along a line of long holopanels. "What happened to me?"he asked her as she came to a stop a foot away from him. "Why am I here?" Cortana frowned, and took three "steps" back. "I think you better see for yourself." She said, gesturing to a circular veiw screen to her left. John stood up and walked slowly towards the window. He paused for a moment a foot from the screen, then glanced out. He almost let out a gasp. There was about 500 UNSC ships drifting orbiting around Earth, all of which were destroyed. Then there was the Covenant. 300 of their ships, red lights glowing on their hulls. The ships stalled for a breif moment, then there was a thundering roar. 600 plasma bombardaments were launched to Earth, scattering clouds as they fell. The Chief wanted to go down their. He wanted to stop the gouts of plasma erupting from the Covenant ship's hulls. But knew he couldn't. He sat in awe as each bombardament hit, glassing every bit of water, forest, and peice of land it touched in a 100 mile radius. He could just picture billions of humans that were left, being vanished in an instant, reduced own to a pile of glassed ash. He closed his eyes in failure. For years him and the other SPARTANS and marines of the UNSC had faught the Covenant in order to protect Earth, and in an instant, it was gone. He turned to Cortana, "How long was I unconsious? Tell me what happened here. Tell me everything." Numbers and data scrolled down her body as she preped for her reply. "Ok...When we went to destroy that Covenant destroyer in Nevada, you were nearly killed by a Black Ops Elite, jousting an energy sword...That was a year ago." She paused, and looked away, as though she felt his pain, then, "All these Covenant ships came down. Seven-hundred to be exact. All our five-hundred cruisers and fifty orbital guns took out only five-hundred, before they were free floating molucules. We were told to protect yo, to keep you out of harms way. We weren't alowed to fight. We had to watch as all the remaining humans were murdered." The MasterChief was blank for a minute, before asking, "But why? What do they need me for? All the humans are dead now. What use would I be?" "I don't know, exactly. All I know is what the Admiral told me. If you want to know your next, and probably final mission, then go to the bridge. You will be informed." "Right." he said. And with one last look out the window, at the Earth that was now gone, he left for the bridge. He made it to the doorway when Cortana said, "Goodbye, and be careful." John gave a trembling salute goodbye, and made his way to the bridge. He was half scared/ half angry, but no matter what, he wanted it revenge...
