Ambush at Coheeth

The marines stood tense,mangled,tired. They've gone three days without reinforcements. But that was soon to change, in 3 hours they would get back up and then if they last long enough they would be picked up and go home for the first time in 3 years.
Private Casanova gripped his Battle rifle firmly. Sergant Onofre was giving out orders to the rest of the team. The rest of the team consisted of private Palamo,Diaz,Denton,and Devora.
"Ok girls lets get to our defence positions the bastards want our booze but they cant have it can they" Onofre barked.
"Hell no sir" the squad replied. The team moved to there positions. Casanova and Palamo guarded the front gate, while Devora and Denton guarded the left, and Diaz gaurded the right.
The marines waited and waited. For 2 hours and 45 minutes. "that it these covenant bastards arn't com..)"cut off before he could finish what he was saying. From nowhere Denton took 7 needles to the leg and 2 two the neck. They exploded soon after decapating Diaz instantly.
"Shit"scream Casanova as he tossed a granade into the woods. "Suppression fire Suppression fire" sergant screamed as he rushed to take Denton's spot. Palamo Fired a quartet of bursts for his battle rifle Knocking 3 grunts off there feet and into hell.
The team fired into the woods for 10 seconds until Onofre ordered them to stop."Keep your eyes peeled, Devora I want you on that turret"
Devora hopped onto the turret. Just as he mounted the damn thing a squad of 4 elites the leader in golden armor ran forward fallowed by 8 grunts 4 jackles and 2 hunters.
"Dammit this totaly sucks ass" Diaz yelled as he unloaded his Battle Rifle into a blue elite, killing it. Casanova shouldered a Jackhammer launcher and blasted one hunter to bits.
Diaz continued to fire him ans Palamo took out another elite. Onofre took out 4 grunts with a well-placed granade, and mowed down the rest with his Battle Rile.
Casanova fired the secont rocket missing the hunter. "How the hell do you miss something bigger than mt mom, nad with a rocket damn!"Diaz shouted trying to cheer the squad. Diaz took a second to glance over to see how the team was doing, it was a glance that cost him his life. A blast from a plasma rifle struck him in the chest, fallowed to a shot in the face from a carbine.
"You bitch!" Casanova screamed as he fired a rocket killing the seconded hunter. The team held there positions finishing of the rest on the Covenant troops. "Report how we doing sergant"
"Only casulties were Diaz and Denton get their bodies off this deck get them in bags,we need to be ready for another attack!"
The fire fight had left a patch of trees tipped over. Through those trees was terror true terror. The Covenant was the not a squad not a hunt and kill team but quite a force. At lest 20 elites most red armored. "Hell no this isn't fair it's just not fair!" Devora screamed in denile.
At that moment pods fell from the sky, not just any kind of pods but HEVs the ODSTs have finally arived to back them up. Most of the pods broke down trees and slammed into rocks. There were 20 in all.
The Helljumpers broke down the doors to there pods and made there way to the base. What was amazing that any that no troods were killed in there pods. "I'm Sergant Sanchez sir were do u want my men Onofre.
"We have a couple of portable turret inside set up a perimiter, show those bastards whoose boss." The ODSTs quickly did what the sergant asked the had a base that would take a demon from hell to get into.
Devora grabber a AM S2 and got an elite in his sights fired, the elite dropped,"Those bastards will not get me!" he wispered. At that moment the marines let out a hail of bulltes toward the Covenant. Troops began to fall.
The Covenant returned fire an ODST took a shot to the chest, pushed it aside and continued to fire. After a short while the marines ceased fire. As the smoke cleared the were many Covenant bodies on the ground. At least 60. All shapes and sizes. "Wahooo whos your daddy bitches"an ODST yelled.
There was a rumble a sound was heared that echoed through the forest. It was a sound that Onofre heared. A giant mortar became visiable, it was sky high. "Damn a wraith get down"he screamed.
